That's very obviously the case but because it reveals that Verso was willing to work with Alicia if she was willing to do what was best for herself and the canvas, it will be ignored by verso haters and aliciafags

I'll engage in a limited way with your bad-faith argument: You're making a claim (the initial claim in this conversation) that they're not sentient, despite them behaving just as "real" sentient humans do. You claim they're chatbot AIs. You claim they have no free will. What do you support these claims with? The burden is on you, as the first to make a claim. Any request instead that I prove the opposite of your argument will be accepted as your concession. You may also cope and seethe, if you wish.

Alicia should've offered to step out and help him convince Aline. That would've shown she could be trusted. Instead, she showed that she'll sacrifice her own life to prolong the canvas's existence, which is a complete nonstarter for Renoir. Alicia gave him nothing to work with - sacrificing any member of his family simply will not do and he'd shown that with every action so far.
