Yeah and you're wrong. A 75% 2nd week drop means very different things depending on genre, audience, and release pattern. Horror is expected to drop 60 or 70% in 2nd week. That's the norm for Conjuring type movies. Anime movies drop hard too but the difference is they don't recover the way horror or general-audience movies do
Conjuring had a big fall, then stabilized (-45%, -39%, -25%). DS didn't, it went -75%, -59%, then hovered in steep decline.
That shape matters more than some numerical gap between weeks, so yeah, DS had terrible legs

Conjuring's legs were better because its audience grew beyond horror fans. Demon Slayer stayed frontloaded and died fast. It didn't grow beyond anime fans. The multiplier doesn’t lie. 2x vs 1.8x. One had reach, the other had a weekend, it may look small to you but in box office math that's actually a big deal because it means Conjuring kept playing to new audiences while DS fizzled out after its core fan rush
