The last 3 years have been a real boon for my switch since I had been doing both transatlantic and transpacific flights during that time.
There is no better time to play than a 13 hour flight to Japan.
I was able to knock out the last dungeon and final boss area of BOTW and do the first 20% or so of Metroid Dread

I've already mostly quit online multiplayer, even Valve is starting to go down that path.
I've accepted a future of me playing video games on a solar powered single wide trailer on 10 acres

I hope you're all having a comfy time. I'm currently doing painstaking cutout work in GIMP, but as I was staring at pixels and thinking about things, I thought to myself: I think this latest episode is the first one that really has me caring about Nagumo. It finally clicked me with and her. Her tower adventure is what did it, and how she acted when she got out, and met back up with Niikura at the party. I'm now invested in her stories the way I was only invested in Wako and RIko and Ecchan and Mitsuri before. I've also warmed up a lot more to Niikura as a result, although that was already happening previously.
For all the talk of character introductions being a bit weak going into the tower story, I think in a strange way the crazy splitscreen adventure of the whole CITY coming together accomplished the exact introductions I've been craving. I'm anime-only, by the way. Rather than feeling lost and apathetic with so many characters, I actually feel way more invested in them. I think it's because the hospitality was such a genuine and touching thing and we saw how everyone was interacting with each other and the situation. It did a lot. Thank you, Tanabe-sama.
From here on out, all these characters in whatever future stories they're in, will have been there receiving hospitality. I know that each of them, in their own ways, deserved their awards. I didn't know I needed to know that. But I know it now.
