A "walkable city" sounds nice but what this means ultimately that the car is gone. Need to go somewhere other than walking distance? Got to rely on public transport or Ubers/taxis.

Nothing goes right. Nothing is every truly finished. Nothing seems to advance positively without some advance negatively setting everything back to 0.

That "nothing ever happens" seems to be the manifestation of a living hell...in reality a lot is happening but it just balances out to an ever present net 0 of gain and loss.
The end result being a crushing weight on the psyche and soul.
