Actually for the best experience you need to install one of the mods which restores and improves on the civil war questline. I've played a couple of them over the years. They add a lot to the game. It's a real shame that stuff got cut. It makes the game almost a grand strategy game where the tables at various locations showing real current battle lines and you can pick where to strike. And the Imperials can strike back and retake places you previously took. One of them added these epic battles on the roads where a dozen from each faction would slaughter each other, and I could help my chosen side and then loot the battlefield of armor and weapons.

Well you see, back in the wild west days, we all had guns, and when somebody was a problem, we would form a posse of 20 or so good men with guns and then we would go find the problem people and either shoot them, or arrest them and take them back for a short trial followed by a hanging. You see, that is how the justice system in the USA is supposed to work. So it's a system which breaks down when the government starts to criminalize normal crime-fighting behavior. If we aren't allowed to lynch the problem people, then they multiply and remain a problem for decades.

If the government would just get out of our way and let us purge the criminals we would solve crime within weeks. There would be no drug dealers, fentanyl addicts shitting on the streets, gangs, shoplifters or rioters, because good men with guns would form posse's and we would shoot those troublemakers to death, or arrest them and hang them according to our law.

For me the biggest disappointment has been Thor 3 and 4. In Thor Ragnarok, they took several elements of World War Hulk, and used them. We didn't get a proper World War Hulk movie. We got the costume yeah, we got the planet and some of the side characters sure... but we never got, Hulk rampaging and beating the avengers down as the villain in a major movie. It would require Sentry, and they didn't add Sentry until Thunderbolts. So NOW they can do World War Hulk but they already blew half their load in Ragnarok so it's semi redundant now and it doesn't work with Hulk's character arc since they made him professor hulk off screen. It's fucked.
And Thor 4, which could have been the best Marvel movie. It had Christian Bale, one of the greatest comic book actors of our generation, playing Gorr the god-butcher. A villain on a scale so epic that it could have been truly amazing. It should have climaxed with a trio of time displaced Thor's from his 3 ages: young brash Thor, Current Thor, and Odin-force Thor from his old age in the future. 3 Thor's vs Christian Bale Gorr, should have been the coolest thing that has ever happened, or will ever happen.

Instead it was a Taika Watitties movie with a lot of subversive crude humor and ironic characters who don't take it seriously, and then a shoehorned love story and kids movie that don't fit the tone and take up precious time real estate from a better film.
