Yeah because Aline forced him out and helped him deal with his problems. The verso canvas is dangerous to Aline and Alicia because his soul being in there allows them to easily delude themselves and larp that Verso didn't die. If they'd willingly step out and deal with their grief first, like Aline made Renoir do, then the problem would be solved. Unfortunately, they were unwilling do to that. So Renoir puts on the daddy pants and helps Aline the same way she once helped him.
