It prevents a lot of known NT Kernel exploits to gain access to your system from a cold boot, prevents exploit of legacy BIOS attacks, allows for a true system level encryption which encrypts not just the OS but the boot sector, and allows for "trusted" application execution. The TPM module can flag signed applications as trusted so it easily allows anti-cheat to identify untrusted applications manipulating your memory to block cheats. It isn't a perfect system but it is better than not wearing a condom and there is no real downside. Turn it on. The only reason you wouldn't want it is if you're dual booting OS's or regularly boot from live portable media to a temporary OS.

>Should I believe this
Yes. It was pretty rough in the January Alpha test but ran OK on my 3090. Everything is final and there is no performance monitoring/debugger/telemetry software running on all the game processes for this beta. Should be very smooth based on what I've seen from the much older build of the game at last week's event. The real question is will the servers run well? The event last week was running from the event over two dedicated Lumen 10Gb fiber connections to the nearest datacenter where EA has rackspace rented and not many people were invited. Tomorrow we'll be global and who knows how prepared they are to balance load and if QoS is setup right. And will they use the 45Hz server setup from the event (ew) or will we get 60Hz for the beta tomorrow (most likely not, but who knows, it is suppose to be a test of the final build so hopefully 60Hz tickrate)? Doubtful they'll be offering up 120Hz servers until a couple months after launch when load stabilizes and the players that decide to stay settle in, if ever (most likely never).

Attention span at work is withering away fast. Too focused on doing the funny RP's with the robots instead of being productive. Some tabletop coming up over the weekend, so excited about that.
