They are cartoony and have cartoony expressions. Yes, even Deltarune has them. Kids love cartoons.
I'm willing to bet if Undertale/Deltarune had a more realistic style they wouldn't have been nearly as popular.

Then why wasn't he complaining 2 years ago when Valve made Steam? The guy is complaining over a system that has existed for more than two decades now. And somehow also is defending worst alternatives.
