Not completely untrue, you're missing the fact that it was (likely) born from an egg given by the Forgotten Man, who we know has a link to Gaster. They've got to be connected in at least some way. The DEVICE_ suffix is also associated with Gaster after all.

With chapter 3 and 4 out now, I think I can conclude that humans are worst race in UT/DR. A lot of bad shit can easily be traced back to them and every single player character can either fuck things up based on Your command or already fucked something up which caused the plot to happen. And we as players are always get their shitty hand.

I was fine because of how it tied into Susie's character development.
The fight against the statue shook her. She thought she fucked up and turned the old man into a creepy mindless monster. Someone pointed out her dialogue in that fight resembles an emotionally abused kid: she tries to admit she messed up and it's all her fault even though she doesn't know what's wrong and she just wants her parental figure to calm down and stop being mad. Doubly so since Gerson was the first mentor that was able to connect with Susie, by her own admission. It's why she was so emotional when she was yelling at Ralsei after, because she was freaking out over something he knew but didn't tell her, and then the fucking fire extinguisher just tells her that the code was on it the entire time, so making the second dark world was a completely pointless screw up because she jumped to a stupid idea without considering all the possibilities first, and until Ralsei explained it was a statue she thought someone else she cared about had suffered for her own mistake.

So when Gerson rolls back up to the Titan fight, it's to reassure her that she's still on the right track and needs to stay motivated. And when she gets her idea, it's her way of saying, yeah okay maybe her ideas are stupid and reckless, but she will always commit to them herself instead of just leaving someone else to suffer the consequences.

Gaster will be important in the grand scheme of things without needing to do ARG shit to encounter him, but he'll be introduced in a way where his role and importance in the story make sense to someone who's never heard of him and it'll eclipse all the Undertale scientist easter egg stuff we currently know about him. He'll have a role that's thematically relevant to the story and all the stuff about his origin as royal scientist will be little more than a bonus backstory dwarfed by his more direct role in DR, tossed aside just like how the sweepstakes ARG stuff once all the "secrets" it foreshadows can be directly seen within the game after the scenes in the chapters it refers to actually release.

When it's all done, it'll start feeling weird to think of him as an Undertale character instead of a Deltarune one.

I think ERAM means that Kris takes solace in the fact that the Weird Route isn't their fault because they're already laden with so much guilt over what happened to Dess. Notably if you look back in Undertale the "Angel" was either Asriel or Chara. No it wasn't Frisk or the Player. It's either Asriel from breaking the barrier at end of pacifist, or Chara erasing the world at the end of genocide. No it was not the player/frisk being the angel in genocide, there were surviving monsters in shelters, Chara is the one who permits total world erasure, so they'd be the angel in that case.
I think there's a good chance that the characters in universe will *mistake* us for the Angel, but in reality it's something else.

As I stated, Asriel broke the barrier, freeing everyone. Chara erased the world "freeing" everyone (from life). They didn't do it earlier because they needed respectively SOULS and LOVE. This is something I've been thinking about a lot with Toriel. The jitterbug scene really rubbed people the wrong way, and people have been calling Toriel a bad mother and a bad person because of it. And sure, she made a mistakes. She's made several mistakes that we see with Kris. But she also loves him, and it's obvious she is trying, and I don't think she's a bad person for being irresponsible or a little clueless. Yet if I say this in a discussion about Toriel and Sans, there will be no shortage of people angrily denying that Toriel has value, or sarcastically saying that she didn't do anything wrong because yass sister or whatever else. No one wants to have discussions, they want characters to fit into one or two easy to understand boxes and never deviate.

I want the chapter to start with Kris missing, the cage door unlocked because Kris was freaking out too much to properly lock it, and the window open. So we leave the cage and float out.
We can explore the upper part of the town a bit, but as we float by Noelle's home she sees us and grabs us. She thinks we're some odd looking balloon, so she takes us back to her place and ties some string around us, then takes us to the festival.
At the festival she runs into Susie and Kris. Kris immediately spots us and is trying not to visibly freak out as Noelle gives us to Susie. The entire time is Susie hanging out with Noelle and Kris, and we help Susie play festival games while Kris gets into increasingly stupid shenanigans trying to grab us without the other two noticing.
