The premise wasn't actually as stupid as people make it out to be, literally everyone thought it was cool until what's-his-name did the abridged series and said "CARD GAMES ON MOTORCYCLES" every other line. The issue with 5D's is that it falls off a fucking cliff right after the dark signers arc, and doesn't get any better until the last 20 or so episodes.
