It keeps getting worse with each era and theres no supplementary material to tide people over or make them forget the bad games. Like Sonic always has shitty games, but then has cartoons, comics, dumb movies, and a fanbase for each niche or character. Crash was never given the time to diversify his brand and its too late to try now. He also doesn’t have a Shadow, Knuckles etc. A traditionally animated, 2D cartoon animated in a similar style of Goof Troop concurrent with the games and a few silly comic runs would have done wonders. Now? The talent isnt there.
