Ralsei's form could still potentially shift as the game gets into the later chapters and we learn more about him. I think as a creature of darkness its very interesting that his initial form was so obscured and that he only later assumed the form of something comforting to Kris. I think there's more to his shape than he's letting on.

But I do miss his hat animations.
