however, i worked in the medical field for a huge hospital, and i worked hand in hand to automate a BA guy's job. and after i did that, he was doing exactly what is described in the post in the OP, and the fuckin' management was even complimenting him on the colors and shit just like it says in the post!!! the data in the spreadsheet was nearly useless and didn't even offer simple structure to things people already knew. this was 2016, and the guy was getting paid $84k per year.

and there were tons and tons and tons of diversity hires, mostly women, working there getting huge fucking paychecks for doing almost nothing! AND I SHIT YOU NOT ONE OF THEM WORKED ON THE MARKETING TEAM PICKING OUT COLORS AND WORDS FROM A FUCKING WORD BUBBLE TO POST ON THE SOCIAL MEDIA PAGES THAT NO ONE EVER FUCKING READ ANYWAY!! bitch was getting paid somewhere between $62k and 80k for that in 2016. and my useless ass woman lead was getting paid 80 some thousand a year for sending emails, interrupting people during meetings and giving compliments that she had no business giving. she also only gave out references to diversity hires and men who groveled at her feet in front of everyone. god i want to shoot myself even thinking back to that ridiculous sham. they shutdown the software too because on my way out i pointed out 6 architectural flaws; each of which would mean they have to start from scratch. i figure that was a $100M shitshow up in smoke. and i got to watch it burn for free.
