Based on the reactions to something like the handjob chapter and such, it's safe to say that most "Asafags" were not in any way prepared to have Fujimoto give Asa his usual protagonist treatment.
It's hard to imagine her being put through even 10% of the shit that Denji or Agni are put through during their respective arcs, this is also probably why Fujimoto has largely phased Asa out in favor of a character like Yoru who can be used in situations more flexibly without risking a pogrom by her fans.

It's not just Nuke but the fear of War in general that should also boost Reze. No one would be that worried about bombs in peace time.
As fear of Yoru intensifies, so does the fear of her weapons family. Tanks, guns, everything. Many of which, apart from Gun, could've been regarded as obsolete prior to the appearance of Yoru.
It's another thing though if Fujimoto cares to ever implement that in the manga.
