Imagine they released an original theme that consists of the classic Lego factions but fantasified.

Orc wolfpack
Dwarf black falcons
Elf forestmen
Undead fright knights

Kids and afols alike would be all over it and Lego would have found another evergreen theme like Ninjagay. DnDs success should tell you there's interest but Lego doesn't need to be paying Hasbro for generic fantasy archetypes.
