What are you building, Anonymous Poster?
Post your squads! I want to see your cool minifigures.

>ninjago will be 15 years old in 2026
Where did time go?
I watched Jurassic World: Rebirth, and now I understand why Lego didn't make a D-Rex set, it's barely in the movie. I'm surprised they included raptors in the sets, though, since they only appear for about 15 seconds. Meh, itโs a mediocre movie and will probably underperform. On the plus side, the Lego sets are pretty accurate to the movie! However, I wouldโve replaced the raptors with Mutadons in the sets, since Mutadons appear in the same locations where the raptors show up. I still think they shouldโve made Superman sets.
>>11467017Did they ever sell Monkie Kid sets in the west, or was it always China/Online only?
I've never seen a single one at my Lego store, its just always Ninjago.
>>11467055I think the first 2 years of monkie kid were in physical lego stores worlwide too, before they moved them to online exclusivity.
>>11467051D-Rex had like 2 minutes of screentime, I guess they didn't kill him off for sequel bait or to be different from previous JP films (each film killed the villain dino), though he wasn't a villain either. Dumb movie.
>The LEGO DC set 76300 Arkham Asylum is rumored to release on September 9, 2025, for $300 USD and will include 2,953 pieces; it's said to be built on a baseplate that resembles an inverted corner, though it's currently unknown if it will have modular building connection points, and it will feature 16 minifigures: Batman, Robin, Batwoman, Batwing, The Joker, Harley Quinn, Catwoman, Mr. Freeze, The Penguin, Poison Ivy, The Riddler, Scarecrow, Bane, Killer Croc, and two security guards, according to a Brick Tap source.
>>11467062But no batmobile?
>>11467051I still think it's hilarious humiliation for Lego that the AI Named their set "Brick-Built" how could they put that on the box? so embarrassing

Troi, Guinan
>US $399.99 - DE/FR โฌTBA - UK ยฃTBA
>Release: NOVEMBER 28TH 2025
>The Enterprise D set appears to be approximately 30 cm or more in size (not minifigure scale), and above the head of the Enterprise, it says โU.S.S Enterprise NCC-1701 Dโ (though it's unclear if this is a sticker or a print), while the windows are also represented with either stickers or prints; the head is detachable from the body, and the display stand is black, shaped like a wide-legged capital โA,โ and includes a black (or possibly brown) nameplate on a 4x4 plate, with a gray platform designed to hold the minifigures that features black parts and blue Star Trek text โ the included minifigures are Worf (holding a small 1x1 grey piece), Data (with a cat), Geordi (with a grey briefcase?), Riker (with a giant yellow wind instrument), Picard (with a goblet), Dr. Crusher (with a grey 2x1 brick), Guinan (with a green water bottle?), Troi (with a grey 2x1 brick), and Wesley Crusher (with a grey briefcase featuring blue lasers on it).
>>11467068Apparently Barbossa isn't included in this set and I ask, why?
>>11467068This will be $400 and paypigs will eat it up
>>11467072I'm so mad with Lego's downward spiral into multi-hundred-dollar sets
blah-blah "piece count" blah-blah "value for the money" blah-blah "but... new molds!" Aaaaargh!
I would much rather buy a $50 set each month, and -eventually- wind up with the Star Trek bridge crew. maybe a couple extra Picards and Datas, Troi in a couple outfits. That cool Romulan guy or whatever. "Shaka when the walls fell" guy was in a small set!
nope. your ONLY option is to buy it all at once for FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS. suck it. oh, and you better wake up early and stand in line on release day, if you want the shuttle pod with Ro Laren, because that's the only way you'll get it. while supplies last.
sooooo mad. It's like, I'm glad Lego made a Star Trek set finally, but you have to stand there and let them slap you in the face for it.

>>11467094I mean, of course it's not "minifig scale" that's ridiculous, the ship is huge! it would be the size of a bus.
I do expect it to have a hollow interior with a bridge set, but it's going to be the whole saucer section. most Enterprise toys do that.
if it's just a solid ship with a lame display ledge for the crew, that would be such a fail. they better not be that lazy.

Just look at the latest UCS X-wing, it just about minifig scale but you still can't put luke in the cockpit without taking his legs off.
>>11467227Even the UCS Falcon, which is the closest thing to minifig scale Falcon, has like 3 corridors and cockpit where you can kinda fit the minifigs, everything else is structural

>>11467262I'm not sure. I remember having the one in the middle but the only sets of that wave I had were 6268 and 6271. So, it was either in one of those OR it was a promo in a comic book or kids magazine.
>>11467262This website: http://www.rittersets.de/piraten.html

>>11467105I'm hoping it's just the leaker being retarded and thinking "minifig scale" means 1:1. If it really has no bridge then that's tremendously gay. Why even choose the Enterprise D when the bridge is the most iconic part of it
Begos! Playing with my begos makes life worthwhile!
>>11467296>The Enterprise D set appears to be approximately 30 cm or more in sizeI'm kinda curious as to what this means cause if it's only a foot long then that's not very big, but any other way it'll be a decent size.

>>11467325>>11467330the box would have said
"Brick-Built with Stickers Mosasaurus Boat Mission"
>>11467070the ONLY reason to make the ship super-huge "worth" $400 is to have a hollow inside with the bridge.
if it's a solid ship, they could have made it a ton smaller and NOT charged four FREAKING HUNDREDS dollars
if it's a solid $400 ship with just a display stand for the crew, then it's confirmation of Lego doing an evil villain flex. "we could have made this a lot more affordable, but we don't have to, so of course we'll charge you whatever we want, and of course... you'll pay. PAY! Mwa-ha-ha!!! you have NO CHOICE! you want it.... pay."
oh yeah, and you could have put a smaller Enterprise on a regular shelf, but now you need a coffee table in the middle of your room for this $400 huge monster of a set. surely you have coffee table size display shelves in your mansion or giant studio Manhattan apartment, right?

>>11467480These are the other finalists of this challenge, only one will be chosen to become an official Lego set.
There's another 90s challenge for a smaller scale set but the winner announcement got a 50 day delay for some reason (also both of these challenges have a Buffy project in the finalists list, so take that as you will).
>>11467480>>11467488X Files will win because they are preparing us for project blue beam/alien disclosure. They got Spielberg on the phone doing another alien film and the title is DISCLOSURE.

>>11467480It's gonna be Buffy
>>11467480>>11467488Anything other than X-Files would be a stupid pick considering the recent resurgence of interest in the paranormal and conspiracy theories. I say "resurgence" but I guess it never really went away, just look at how long Ancient Aliens has been running. But on Tiktok now especially people lap that shit up. It has the others beat in cultural relevance too, at least if we're going off memes. And that poster is just too iconic.
>>11467480Fuck, only now I realize this diorama remakes the x files "I want to believe" poster. Genius.
Imagine they released an original theme that consists of the classic Lego factions but fantasified.
Human lion knights
Orc wolfpack
Dwarf black falcons
Elf forestmen
Undead fright knights
Kids and afols alike would be all over it and Lego would have found another evergreen theme like Ninjagay. DnDs success should tell you there's interest but Lego doesn't need to be paying Hasbro for generic fantasy archetypes.

>>11467689oh you can be 100% certain that Star TREK Lego will sell like water in the desert. even for $400. that's the reason it IS $400. we should count ourselves lucky that it's "only" $400. if they thought they could get away with more, they would have done it.
since the (pardon the pun) Data will show massive (a more obscure DS9 pun) profits (prophets? get it?) they will indeed make a $400 Star Trek set once each year. no need to over-do it.
--at least Kirk's Enterprise, one or two of 'em (TV series and movie versions?)
--probably Voyager (Seven of Nine with bonus Borg Queen will sell for $400 easily)
--maaaaybe we can get lucky with a smaller Defiant from Deep Space Nine instead of a $1000 station? Lego will probably opt for the $1000 station (if the new 1K Death Star sells)
---the other 'Treks probably not. it would be amazing to get a Cerritos but nobody else knows what that is lol and even I don't think I'd want Archer's NX-Enterprise so...

>>11467720pick any episode, any series, and there's likely a place and characters Lego could make an excellent set out of.
but Star Trek is not going to be "a theme" that "gets sets"
It will be about milking money out of the hungry fans at the gulp-iest rate possible.
Only massive ships. Only $400+. once a year. Lego has "learned" they can do this, with the Lord of the Rings sets.
if we are lucky, we'll get Picard keychains in 2 years, and maybe in 3 or 4 years they will put Data in a polybag sitting in his Fajo Collection chair among other fun relics. (not in his uniform of course, but it will be the head piece and the hair they used in the $400 set) but that will be a gift-with-purchase when you buy $400 worth, so it will still "be" a $400 "set"
be certain that Lego doesn't "care" about Star Trek fans, they "care" about that money.
People with experience selling/buying Lego please help me:
Let's say I want to sell a lot of valuable things(mostly classic minifigs and rare pieces) but I want it to be a one and done situation(as opposed to like opening a bricklink store and selling things gradually here and there till eventually it's all gone). Now obviously it's not like a single person is gonna be looking exactly for all I have to offer so I understand I have to sell my stuff below the market value so that someone who's more active in the business can buy the lot and eventually resell things individually for more money.
So my question is how should I gauge how much do I have to price things down for buyers to be interested? I add up the value of all individual things(by checking on bricklink for the lowest price its selling for) and then take down how much of the total value? 10%? 25%? 40%?
>>11467854You could check the value and add it up, but you absolutely don't get the full market value with just a bulk lot
>>11467854expect half. whoever you dump it on (local brick n mortar 2nd-hand store luckily near you?) needs to profit, and they expect to sell it for the market value.
nearly every industry that offers trade-ins of any kind, will offer half the value.
your best bet is to isolate the few super-valuable minifigs you have, and dump the bulk for the half-value. it's likely that you can bridge the gap significantly with only a handful of the most valuable things
>>11467234They have no excuse at the $400 price point.
I need a name for a fictional space subtheme that would have been released in mid nineties. A civilian faction.

What's this thread's thoughts on unlicensed minifigures and kits? Like Brickmania
>>11468111Blasphemy. You should only purchase Official LEGOยฎ products.
>>11468111You mean third party stuff? Itโs fine. Iโm super autistic about official lego only (lego conditioned me good) so I donโt want it in my own collection but I have no problem with other people doing it. Sometimes I feel people are better off using third party stuff in their builds. But Iโm going down with the official lego only ship
>>11468111in the beginning, you could use your bricks to build whatever you wanted.
100 years ago when Lego first did a Star Wars X-Wing, it was a revolution. the one that you built was garbage next to the "official" Lego model.
then, Lego made a "new" X-wing. and again. and again.
why would Lego do that? What was wrong with the first "official" model? that was THE OFFICIAL Lego X-Wing!
every time Lego re-builds something, you start to get the idea that maybe... the one YOU built... wasn't so invalid after all.
and if THAT wasn't invalid, why should it matter if the piece was NOT Lego, too?!
some of those 3rd-party minifigs are made with the same spirit of art design, as if they are trying to match the Lego figures. if they were on the same shelf, would you even notice they were not "official" Lego?
eventually some non-Lego thing will be so good, that it won't matter that it's not "LEGO". that's up to you to decide when that is. built by you vs official model, brick made by Lego vs brick made by 3rd party.
Wanted to ask because Brickmania does some pretty cool war themed sets. Idk if this is overpriced but I got this minifigure for $14.
I'm not out yet and I've already been forgotten
>>11468145Yeah thatโs cool brother. It sounds expensive to me but so does everything right now. But, hereโs the kicker: you need to build something for him. A little bunker or Maybe a vehicle to drive around in. Doesnโt really matter what it is but dont just buy the dude so he can be displayed on a black stand. That wonโt do.
>>11468158I am saving up for one of these bad boys because I'm literally new to this community. Well kinda. When I was 15, my dumb ass donated all my old lego pieces so I have to start from scratch again.
>>11468171>new hereWelcome. there used to be a plastic building block general but I havenโt seen it in a while. It had a lot of stuff like this. Be sure to post the dude with the tank when you get it.
>I sold off my legos when I was 15that is a common occurrence. You hit the age where you feel too old for plastic bricks. And you want 500 bucks for video games or impress a girl or something. A few years go by and regret hits
>>11468192My biggest regret is losing the original Lego Temple Escape for Indiana Jones before it was re-released for like $400

>>11468210Pretty much yeah. Itbeen the laughing stock online since the reveal.
This was peak minifig. It was a mistake to go beyond the simple yellow smiley.
>>11468248The peak imo was the 90s style with the smiley with extra features. A mix of plain smileys and smileys+ is perfect.
>>1146785450% of market price is the standard when dumping in bulk to resellers. Only exception is if you have rare Star Wars stuff because that always sells fast.
>>11468111Custom pieces are fine, my main problem with it really is just that the people doing just weapons seem to basically do nothing but real world stuff. I went to brickfest this year and wanted some retro rayguns for because I like they ways more then the bulky official ones only to see not one vendor has them. What I find genuinely concerning is the knockoff minifigure market, it feels like it has become way bigger then I ever expected it to. I went to C2E2 this year and found numerous booths were nothing but cheap minifigure clones of pop culture characters. I have seen these before at things like conventions and flea markets but never this many in one place. Most weren't particularly cheap either at about $10 per minifig, they were raking in big money with these booths. I really wonder if lego will ever start to take serious action against whoever is making this shit.
>>11468248Nah, I do think they should have made all faces modified versions of the basic smiley but I think minifigures started to look significantly works when they added the white pupils. The black dots really look so much nicer.
>>11468171>$100 for thatBuy some bulk used parts and build your own. It will be way more cost effective and also more fun.
What's the lore on mars mission, why were the sets so badly designed? They have a lot of neat design concepts but the actual builds are pitiful.

>>11468297This is also true, though Life on Mars also had some weird or half assed builds. The human rocket comes to mind.

>>11468583the only solution to escape the downward spiral towards $400 black box 18+ sets, is to not buy them.
I simply can't afford to spend $400 on Lego, all at once. I can buy a cool new set for maybe $60 tops (argh why can't this be cheaper?) a set on clearance? it's got a couple of cool things, sure. eventually I might spend $400. but not all at once.
but it's not up to me.
or you.
there's nothing "we" can do about it. those ridiculous sets SELL. for whatever reasons. FOMO. Fear Of Missing Out. if you don't buy the $400 set NOW, it will cost you $800 later. it's the only way to get [blank]! the set has piece count, value, new molds, it all sounds logical.
so -people- buy. and Lego will keep doing it. massive profits. minimum effort. I almost want to get a protest sign and picket in front of the Lego Store. "Don't Support $HUNDREDS DOLLARS$ sets!"
>>11468592>Fear Of Missing Out. if you don't buy the $400 set NOW, it will cost you $800 later. Don't forget you can't even try to wait for a good discount because in that case you won't get the exclusive gift with purchase that compliments the set!
>>11468587Rivendell was the work of art, massive, beautiful set that cemented the "value" trend
I wonder if Lego themselves are stunned these sets move. D&D, Zelda. how are people spending $300+?!!! who cares! keep doing it!
there's simply NO reason Lego couldn't offer a $40 set with Link & Zelda. except if they did do that, the $300 set wouldn't sell. and duh, Lego wants you to spend $300 instead of $40.
>>11468592>>11468594Also most sets are lego store exclusives so say bye to discounts
>>11468599But they would sell more $40 sets than $300 sets!
>>11468594oh yeah, that, too.
remember when the free gift with purchase was a polybag? and you had to only spend $40 to get it? and if you missed out on getting it "free" you could still buy it later for only $5?
now the "FREE" GWP is the equivalent of a $30 set, and you need to spend $300 to get it. combine the FOMO, exclusive [thing], limited-time-preassure, miss it and you'll NEVER get it again?
aaargh it's worse than the $300 sets
>>11468592This.
I have a self imposed $100 limit on sets.
I might spend $400 on toys but not on a single big black box dust collecting shelf warmer.
The old man had a click and build model of the enterprise D back in the 90s I might try to grab one of those off eBay instead.
This things like forty bucks.
>>11468601you would think so, but that's not the case, apparently.
if the sales data supported that, then Lego would switch to it. the success and continuation of the $300 sets means it's "working" and there's no need to offer the less-profitable sets
>>11468526Theyโd do Buffy before jumanji. Fags love Buffy. Lego loves fags.

Hey, Enterprise will go on discount at some point, and youโll be able to get it for $300. Youโll save $100 for other sets. Just play it smart and WAIT โ itโs that easy.

>>11468111I want more third-party stuff but the third-party stuff that exists now is mostly big/display afolshit whereas I want the smaller to medium sets that made Lego good back in the day. If Lego had more direct competition, particularly in minifigures (they shouldnโt have that trade mark, mega was very based for taking away their brick trademark) then theyโd have to compete a lot harder and be less anti-consumer.
Brick mania specifically I feel some of their accessories that they stock are over-detailed and look ugly as a result this isnโt exclusive to them and even Lego do it too themselves but itโs still bad
>>11468621the /lg/ board is quite the negative place. I'm not sure why, but it is.
people don't even post MOC pics. if they do, others just comment on how terrible it is, and discourage people from even trying.
anything positive (congrats Lego, I really like [blank] set!) is seen as propaganda shilling
there's only a small sense that some Lego employee is lurking, and might take some comments back the the Lego execs. "people are upset about $300+ sets, sir." "Harrumph! sales data shows those sets sell! keep making them!"
>>11468621I like it and will probably pick it up eventually, but you have to admit that the City Space stuff is a little on the generic, "NASApunk" side of things design-wise, as opposed to the more creative models in the older space themes. It's disingenuous to suggest that people only care about the logo that's on the box and nothing else.
>>11468616Like I said, fags love Buffy.

>>11468637I agree. I have the new spaceship but it's rather generic looking and the only really neat thing about is the rear section having a detailed interior that can be separated to become a ground base, which still has some issues due to needing pieces to plug the holes that you can't store anywhere on the model.
My favorite new space models are the rovers, which do both hold up well even against most classic equivalents, though I prefer my space themes with more interesting color schemes than space shuttle white (same reason Futuron is my least favorite classic space theme).
>>11468650>My favorite new space models are the roverssame, picrel is my favorite of the subtheme. the suspension makes it a lot of fun to play with, even if the springs are a bit too tight

though X-Files might not be as popular as Star Trek, D&D, or Legend of Zelda, so it might drop to Jaws or Twilight level and wind up $200-ish
could we all hope that Lego would "try" a mere $50 set? with like the four main characters in an office? just to see if they can do quantity sales vs bulk profit sales?
>>11468679Boss, we already know what the sets "should" look like
>>11468506>>11468513Now how much they will change it depends, they might make it bigger, doubt it will be smaller because the challenge was more into 2200 pieces type sets and the DnD set didn't change that much from the original idea.
>>11468658>>11468679the post is referring to the winning fan design for the ideas contest
>>11468506it's 2,020 pieces so it would most likely be around $200 unless they decide to downsize it for the retail version. I guess they could upsize it too and make it another $300 set, but I'm not sure how unless they add another level
>>11468460I already have the MM Mothership and Drop Ship, just gotta figure out what I'm gonna get next
>>11468691They didn't change much the dnd dragon keep set from the initial idea and that was also a contest set like this. I doubt they will change it much, maybe add more or other characters.
>>11468703>maybe add more or other charactersI wouldn't mind another monster of the week or two, Flukeman would be great. Otherwise they could have the Lone Gunmen.
>>11468621I like city space.

>>11468263I'm kind of stupid though. I struggle without instructions. I'm one of those people who struggles without visual guides but can somehow churn out a 50 page thesis on why a random ass temple in Egypt was one of the most important buildings for Hatshepsut.
Though I will say Brickmania has a lot of bad accessories. I thought the dough boy helmets were cute but the guns are a bit annoying. The shape is too realistic so I cant put it into both hands of the minifigure. But the design also makes ot that I can't have them holding it up to their eye even with one hand. So either it looks ugly failing to hold it with two hands or I have to pose it running while one hand carries the gun by its stock.

you can make a Starship Enterprise all you want with your pile of grey bricks, but you gotta have that crew to fly it (or um... stand next to it) and for that you need Lego to make those minifigs
and if Lego gave us Link in a $5 polybag, we could build the dang tree ourselves, but Lego profit was only $2.50 instead of $250.
it's why Lego has shifted to more-accurate hair pieces and special-molded accessories. so your custom-made cobbled-together character looks like garbage if it's not accurate.

In 1958, Lego released the Atomic Factory Lego Set. It was recalled in 1961.
>>11470441I'm not, I have a gf, lol
Hey zoomers, which year did the lego zoomer era start? I discussed this a lot and I said 2011 was peak zoomer era.
>>114704552006 begins the zoomer era, zoom zooms are right age for lego, it ends around 2016.
>>11470452Does she live in Canada?
>>11470455I'm a fairly early zoomer and I'd say I started on lego in the mid 00s. Star Wars was huge at the time but I was also into Vikings, fantasy castle (once the extremely mid KK2 ended), aqua raiders, and Piraka bionicle.
My friends were also into harry potter, indiana jones, and the early modular city sets. I'd maybe date the zoomer era to the start of the eye glint on the minifig heads, which i like because I grew up with those faces but understand why others don't.

>>11470432that's not an indication that Lego will stop doing DC
notice standard "S" on Superman, not from the new movie. Playmobil did not have faith in the new version, either
lol what a train wreck that movie seems to be, even before it's released
>>11470494good morning saar
Hereโs my results, all cleaned up and rebuilt. I had to dig into my bag of scavenged fakes to complete. It also doesnโt smell like rotten meat anymore. Made the roof removable and rebuilt into a doll house style. I will gift it to a neighborhood kid. Too bad the bricks werenโt real. I could have used the sloped roof bits for my own builds.
>>11470291XOXO Stacie
We love you
>>11470455Zoomer here, I would say 2004 or 2005. Fleshies was the real beginning of the end I would say, once minifigures started getting white pupils at the latest. After RotS hype lego really went in on SW shit.
>>11470154I donโt collect. I build, rebuild, and then do it again.
Talk me out of buying this.
>>11470678- Think of all the other things you could possibly buy for that price
- Take the cost and calculate how much/for how long you have to work to earn the equivalent amount you would spend the set.
If after this you still feel like buying it, give yourself a 7 day waiting period to see how you feel. On the 8th day, if your interest has not subsided then by all means do it.
>>11470432I wish I was more into playmobil because they seem to balance original themes and licenses really well.
Welp, bought more lego, and helped sort a giant pile for an hour and a half, was fun. Also can anybody Id this piece? Has the lego branding so pretty sure its legit, plus those lock on stud axels on the bottom

Trying to make Yuffie in lego I realized how bizarre her outfit is. what even is her right arm covering thing
>>11470909dats awesome
I know some people might be sensitive about it, so don't freak out at this suggestion, but the only improvement I can think of would be to use fleshie colors if you could. (since she's a character from a thing) otherwise I think it's great
>>11470919Thanks. I made the whole cast yellow, it was so long ago I started these I almost forget why, but I believe it's cause there are so few flesh female midriff torso prints
>>11470926>I made the whole cast yellowNo you didn't
>>11469916Stop. I really do appreciate your childlike wonder and the fact that you actually play with your sets, but in no way, shape or form does NASAslop merit a "-tron" suffix.
>>11469904>>11469905>Citytron uniforms used for a completely aesthetically and thematically unrelated setI kinda hate this. They just plain don't match with it. I get that they're not exactly about to make new prints or reuse previous "retro" style CMF outfits for a random GWP, but even Classic Space figs would've worked better since they're closer to the style of it and they've already set a precedent for just throwing them into whatever. Plus Lego is always happy to make a new recolour of those for certain people to soiface over.
>>11469902When are they gonna make Unfriendly Snails?
>>11469344Chickenhawk is literally slang for a pedophile and that's the joke you choose to make with it?
>>11468637I mean at least it's only NASAcore instead of full-blown NASAslop
>>11471009Is it really even that much better? If anything I find it to just be more confirmation that further original space themes can't exist anymore, not even as conflict centered themes like the post LoM space themes. It'll be either exactly nasashit or nasashit pretending to be something else. Feels weird considering how much lego loves to shill classic space.
>>11471010Yeah, actually, I kinda do consider original designs better than whatever latest "cOnCePtUaL" horseshit NASA's PR department has most recently put out shitty CG of for redditors to coom themselves silly to.
>>11470926I see Tifa's just got her vag hanging out for everyone to see.
what was the last original theme that did NOT have some sort of media tie in?
eg.nexo knights had the show, hidden side had the app shit
>>11471159Creator 3-1 isnโt exactly a standalone theme but itโs the best Lego has to offer right now.
>>11471159Excluding continuations of previous themes like Pirates/Castle: Art, Dots, and Icons started in 2020. All themes starting later are licenced or have a media tie in.
>>11470926Where did you get the pieces for Vincent Valentine?
>>11470926>Lego boobsBased
>>11467466>miniconsI wonder if there will be a Brickhedz to go tit for tat.
>>11467541Ninjago recently dipped into Chima.
>>11467636If I wanted something small and cute I would get a plush. That's how I feel about Stitch.
>>11468621It makes me feel bad that space is now a sub theme of City, but yeah I almost watched a review on this one. I think I will watch it now and not just because of the asteroids.
>>11469533I think they've already done some things like Medusa, so that would be interesting to see what they could come up with just doing minifigures.
>>11469533Theyโve been doing that all along. The centaur, the faun, Cupid, the harpy, the battle goddess, the gold winged greek warriorโฆ im sure Iโm forgetting some.
>>11471174Yeah I've been catching up trying to see what they've been doing.
Hey fellas, any new leaks on anymore Simpsons stuff?
>>11467021I did not like Ninjago. (I was too old for the demographic they were going for. Same with Chima but I did buy a few sets from both lines). Would be much happier with classic Ninja/Samurai.
>>11467068Ivr never watched the movies but thst looks sweet.
>>11467122Interior playsets are cool. I'm glad the last AT-AT we got had a nice little interior for your figs and the luke on the grapple hook had a little manual gear. Nice little touches. The $800 AT-AT fuck huge set didn't even have the grapple hook mechanism.
>>11467493>X-Files rebootI forgot they bought Fox...
>>11467854Depending on where you sell consider 1. Shipping costs and 2. Selling fee. I would say add it up and try to even out the number. What percentage you want to drop it is up to you but you should consider the individual value of some of the pieces and the condition. Like yeah X piece is worth $ but Y and Z piece are $$$. If someone is hunting Y and Z then X feels like a bonus.
>>11468129Nta but this is why I try to stay at one figure and one vehicle. Thankfully the last 10 years have had a lot fo release of original trilogy stuff (what I usually like) and the builds are solid. There's no avoiding having like multiple R2s and C3POs cus they're in almost every set. But something like the last Lambda was great. And I really liked the last Tie Fighter and X Wing compared to the current ones that you can swap wings on (plus the previous ones were way cheaper!!). Also at this point I have no problem modding "official" star wars builds. Like "Boba Fett's Throne Room" or whatever that was supposed to be Jabbas Palace but had no roof domes. Didn't take long before I bought some parts off bricklink and made a better model. Still a shame that the new Jabba fig only comes in that $500 set. Come the fuck on.
>>1146824880s/90s smileys that all worked under the same template were great. (Like the moustache, painted lips, sunglasses). More complex heads should only be for licensed sets to try to get a likeness. Its ironic that Lego went crazy woke and somehow ended up ditching the classic smiley, which was gender neutral and could be changed just the swapping hair form pigtails/ponytail to short cut or a hat.
>>11468622Get them off bricklink from some German guy who buys like 900 of the sets and also has 10,000 brown ice cream swirl pieces.
>>11468823X-Files is technically gen X. Nice try tho.
>>11468996She owes me kids.
>>11469090>The whole thing smells of rotten chickenLmao.
>>11469634Very nice. Love that tree.
>>11471285it's infuriating how stingy Lego is with the minifigs.
$80... 1 gingerbread-themed Vader
they could have made
gingerbread-themed Snow Troopers
gingerbread themed AT-AT freaking DRIVER
gingerbread themed Imperial Officer
gingerbread themed Luke hanging off the bottom
nope. just the one!
WHY WHY WHY!
are minifigs like, the most expensive thing for Lego to add to a set? like, does each minifig add $10 per set? aren't they all just more little plastic bits?
just sayin'... if Lego had included ONE gingerbread Snow Trooper and Officer, and one gingerbread Hoth rebel guy, people MIGHT have bought more of them (yes $80 sets) to "army build"
if the idea was to make ONE gingerbread thing each year now, next year we'll get a gingerbread X-Wing with Luke, they still could include different army-building gingerbread minifigs.
>>11471301>are minifigs like, the most expensive thing for Lego to add to a set? They probably are, barring some outliers like very large parts and electronics. Most Lego parts are just mono-colored blocks, but minifigs need prints on the faces and torsos, and these days usually get leg prints as well. They also require some assembly in the factory (attaching the arms to the torso and legs to hips), which is an extra step you don't have with regular Lego bricks.
They're probably nowhere close to 10$ per minifigure, but they do cost more than equivalent amount of plastic in bricks.
Anybody watch the latest season of Dreamzzz? I'd say it's probably the best Lego cartoon since Ninjago.
We also get a reason for why the Mrs Castillo minifigure has an hourglass and is implied to be a Dreamcrafter in the sets, despite not showing it in the show until now.
>>11471301>>11471354probably goes
molds > mini fig design > minifig printing > sticker design
for molds, you can reuse them in future sets, harder than themed minifig designs
>>11471408You canโt prove itโs me
Bump limit reached and we are pretty close to image limit
>>11471354 the frustrating part is that there is no way for Lego to know about how that affects my decisions.
for example, if each Animal Crossing set included ONE (or two?!) more Minifigure(s) I might have bought ALL of them (okay honestly maybe it depends on which characters, but still...) so instead I only buy a few, and even then, I'm not exactly super happy, wishing this $75 set had more than 2 characters grrr....
All Lego would see is "hmm... Animal Crossing is not selling..." and they might come to the wrong conclusion about exactly WHY that is. it's not that I don't want to buy, I just want MORE... to buy. and instead they just cancel it, figuring people don't want it at all.
This likely happened to Vidiyo, where the sets and characters were amazing, yet horribly over-priced. if they were simply cheaper (seriously Vidiyo was a solid twice-as-expensive as sets at the time) it would still be going strong, but they didn't sell at all, and yoinked off the shelves quickly
>>11471418Shut the fuck up you gay bucket of nigger penis
You make another thread early and I swear to christ I'll split the general again
>>11471418>30 images>pretty close Please do everyone a favor and insult Muhammad(PBUH) in front of a gang of algerian boucaques
>>11471354by lego's own standard minifigs are worth around 3-5 bucks. BaM figs are 3 for 10 USD and CMFs (which typically have more printing and specialized molds) are 5. it also costs more to package and sell an item separately vs including it with a larger product. I personally think minifigs should be like a "bonus" that comes with the set instead of something that should be considered in the price, and the bigger the set the more figures it ought to come with. minifigs should just be a given and not something used to manipulate you into buying a set
>>11471259>buys like 900 of the setsYeah, that's not why they have so many.
>10,000 brown ice cream swirl piecesYou seem to think a g*rman would list those for sale instead of hoarding them in his scheisse shrine.
>>11471418Besides an answer to the question nobodyโs asking, do you have anything interesting or intelligent to add?
Has Lego ever depicted The Jew in any official minifigure form?
>>11471459>wizards have no respect for goblin ownership
>>11471180speed racer torso, ninjago hair, I think tie pilot pants. clone trooper shoulders

>>11471439I wouldnโt mind those road plates in blue or green if you could actually get them outside of a small number of retired sets. Such a weird decision
Was Paul also the cityfag from a few years back that was obsessed with the lego city cartoon? The guy that would always larp as that girl fire chief?
>>11471513I want the outside to be split into 2 different scales, the front with the main laser at "real scale" with a smooth looking spherical surface which would be the "true display" side.
Then you turn it around and you have a side that's much more gribbled as if it's more of a close up with playable microscale tie fighters, xwings, falcon, turrets on the surface and the trench with the weak spot Luke shoots into. That side also has a large opening to an interior room separate from the rest that's also at microscale which would be the hangar the falcon lands into with those square formations of stormtroopers represented by tons of printed white ministatues a la harry potter microscale castle.
Then you can open the whole thing for the minifig scale interior which essentially would be pic related but better. Fuck the Death Star 2, please don't waste space with the emperor room or whatever. Just beef up all the areas that are significant to the first film and make sure they are playable. Needs a proper detention block corridor not just a forced perspective sticker. Dianoga shouldn't be this fully separate made up fig, we shouldn't see its fully body but instead have a technic play feature mechanism you activate to make the eye go up and down and move the tentacle.
If they did it just like that then maybe I would buy it but I'm of course I'm preparing myself up for extreme disappointment

I am really curious as to how well these are selling though as it seems like lego sells out of the cheaper sets quite quickly, but 3rd party sellers always seem to have most of the sets with pretty big discounts a month or 2 after release.
