It's not just the chans. I've seen this sort of this the most on things like Tiktok and youtube with grooming of algorithms. Discord sucks but Twitch sometimes can strangely work around it. This place has problems, but at least we talk about the problem. A place that does not talk about these things is not worth talking on. I find those places impossible to talk on too, strangely. I wonder why.

Threads exactly like this were up before I went to bed, and today they're still being made, and have been spammed for years. This is a slide thread, and isn't even accurate since it's only in very specific scenarios anyway, I've never encountered this in any house I've lived in.
