I still love that game but I get it. For me it's that OoT improved so much in regards to story and characters that AlttP seems relatively hollow in that area. It was absolutely groundbreaking at the time, but AlttP feels a bit dated, though not nearly as much as Zelda 1 and 2. It's still an incredibly well-designed game and absolutely pushed the genre forward
