This actually pissed me off more than anything lmao. We finally get full unimpeded access to the seas only for Tetra to get MAIDEN'D and stuck in Hyrule Castle while the pirates basically get written out. Seeing them show up at a few locations in the back part of the game would have been a blast, the whole crew was sorely underutilized in general. Plus it would have been nice to check in on Aryll again.

Anons talking in one of the previous threads about how Wind Waker had a lot of wasted opportunity for more interactions between the various characters really struck a chord.
Rather than an all in one gazillion dollar movie with a new story they really should do a proper animated series, one were different games get a big season's worth.
I'm not against a movie, it just continues to be a shame that these other amazing settings just remain to the wayside.
Though, them changing their minds about not doing movies hopefully means there's the possibility of other media in the future anyway.

To be honest the traditional Zelda games have plot structures that could be really easily adapted into series, and yeah I think animated would work best. Make each season like 12 episodes long, probably starting with LTTP since that's the first Zelda game with enough things to really adapt, work your way forward, base the visuals off of the official art for each game, ramp the budget way the fuck up, you get the picture.

Not sure if 12 episodes would actually be optimal for some of the games so maybe the episode length could vary.

I think the manga prove that when done well there is a lot of flex to how you adapt the games/stories and it still works for feeling like Zelda

I only read the TP manga thus far and even though it has a lot of stuff essentially made up for it, it resonated really well. Even the OC's stuff was generally inoffensive.
As long as it is done with care and it does serve the purpose of meaningfully adapting the story there's nothing that you couldn't really do to make it work.
Which is really the point, people already love these settings and characters, all you need to do is not go full retard.
