expecting others to boycott and not buy/participate is a futile endeavor
not just for ea, I've been trying to get people to boycott bethesda, activision, sega, konami, capcom, gacha games, live service games, battle royales, streamer bair, streamers, youtubers, social media, journalist clickbair websites, discord, dating apps, takeout food apps, g2a/kinguin, 90% of linux distros, github, mozilla, brave browser, apple products, android, tesla cars, amazon, airbnb, uber, yelp, fast food restaurants
and none of it worked
people continue to buy and consume
people continue to give views and clicks
people continue to give engagement
I am starting to think there must be a better solution than blaming each other
