That alone sounds too generous. TDtEBU was in production by the time Bye Bye Bunny was already completed, and at the time, David Zaslav didn't know he could sell off the movie to a different distributor for release rather than wasting all the work and effort by deleting it for "tax write-offs."

Not just Wild Robot being well liked, but even a traditionally animated movie released in theatres despite having retroactively almost zero marketing (despite having a few movie posters here or there and a couple trailers a couple months leading to its release) and only picked up by a small distributor, despite having to be a production from a huge IP (pic related btw) was also well liked by /co/, even a few months before it was released to theatres in the states

I'm not too sure whether or not I should feel bad for Ian anymore. He's a complete failure, and yet that's the thing, we used to respect this failure until after 2017 or before 2020, and he continues to be a failure
