You kids may not know this, but we adults need apps to pay for shit and bills and, well fuck it, your diapers too, and they're forcing apps on us to do that, and we thusly cannot really meaningfully escape Google or Apple.
This at least would allow us to containerize the phone funcitons all away, so we can "turn off" a (virtual) phone and are just otherwise carrying around a Linux tablet that happens to look like a phone (and can also do its functions in a software container).
Ehh.
I'm getting too old for this shit.
I probably need to bite the bullet, and buy some regular phone with Google Play and just leave everything stock.
