But you get more powerful with age, you learn to control your clan disciplines and can pick up new skills from others, having power level tied to generation also gives a strong motive for diablerie which leads to all kinds of tension where a group of young ones can try to take on a older vampire to steal his power, your system is worse because the power level is set in stone like a MMORPG, if you started grinding later you are stuck being weaker than the OGs with no recourse.
