The more I play Bloodlines 2, the more it gives me Dishonored vibes — in the best way possible.

It’s that same mix of freedom, stealth, and consequence where every decision feels personal. You’re powerful, but the world around you is fragile, political, and quietly judging you for how you use that power.

Seattle feels like a modern Dunwall — neon lights instead of whale oil lamps, but the same mix of elegance and decay. Moving through it feels smooth, purposeful, and dangerous all at once.

Even the lack of a big, bloated inventory works here — just like Dishonored, it keeps you focused on the moment instead of menus. You’re not managing loot, you’re managing choices.

And yeah, Dishonored had an ending too — but it’s still one of the most loved games ever made.

Bloodlines 2 actually nails the vampire fantasy better than the first game

I keep seeing people say Bloodlines 2 doesn’t live up to the first, but honestly, I think it’s the other way around. The first game was great for its time, but let’s be real — half the time you were running around blasting people with Uzis. That’s not the fantasy of being a vampire, that’s just another shooter with fangs.

Bloodlines 2 actually leans into what makes being a vampire interesting — the atmosphere, the hunger, the shadows, the feeling of being something powerful but restrained. It’s not about weapon stats or min-maxing gear. If you want that kind of RPG, go play Skyrim.

One of the main themes in VTM is clinging to your humanity, in fact losing your humanity entirely leads to a Game Over, just like Final Death, so the idea that vampires want or try to avoid human tools is complete nonsensical.
In WoD games in general, using your abilities and tools together is one of the best parts, use potence to swing harder, use celerity to larp as Neo, improve your perception to shoot better, use obfuscation to help ambush enemies.
Shooting bad guys is just more fun, being limited to first person melee combat feels bad.
