Kris will stop you from being pointlessly cruel to Ralsei earlier in the same Chapter. Kris still doesn't hate Ralsei whether we tell Kris to be mean to him or not.
If you want to actually analyze these characters and understand why Kris would subvert us to encourage Ralsei developing his own feelings earlier in the Chapter but still tell him to "Keep smiling" at the end, you should have to actually think about that instead of consulting arbitrary numbers and reducing the relationship between two characters to that.
