I know quite a bit about imaging and have been doing photo for the past 10 years or so. I was also in forensics, we and literally documented evidence that would go to judges with smartphones. They're absolutely sufficient for this task.
The ONLY thing I can think of that may be interesting for police are macro lenses, in case you somehow need to take a really up-close image that you for whatever reason can't take back in the lab.
Everything else is useless for evidence. Bokeh? Literally counterproductive. High ISO? Useless, shine a flashlight at it, it's supposed to be visible not look like a photoshoot. Different focal lengths? Completely useless for evidence.
