Fighting games, huh? That genre that used to be all about the skill of the player. A genre that was about climbing the tallest mountain starting from the bottom of the mountain. Now it's a genre that is all about riding a Ski Lift to the top of the mountain, pointing and laughing at the idiot who choose to climb by foot.
I truly miss not just the genre but when all genres in gaming where all about skill and player expression. I would love to go back to 2000 - 2015 fighting games. Post 2016 everything changed for the worse.
I mean just think about it, Street Fighter 5 was a shit game, it manage to survive and thrive all while being a shit game. So then Capcom tried it a second time - MvCi but it failed. And in all honestly if that Dragonball game didn't exist, giving everyone a secondary option I believe MvCi would have manage to thrive as a shit game too. Like if DragonBall FighterZ came maybe two years after MvCi's release I am 100% confident MvCi would thrive as a shit game just like SF5.
