Because I game at 4K native. I built the system in 2019. I'll eventually get a 9900X3D once I get a decent price on it. The delta is minimal. Average 3-5 frames per second from a friend's system who has 9800X3D and 5090 Zotac card. I do want that extra performance it offers for non-gaming stuff. But again there is no urgent need. If I was gaming at 1080p or 1440p the difference would be pretty big. 90% at 1080p and 50% at 1440p. But at 4K it is at most 5%.
Plus I had to buy two. One for me and one for my wife. Building out a new system x2 is going to have to wait a few months.

Nah, I do joystick on some, d-pad on others and keyboard on a couple. Just depends on what is needed. Really platform focused shit I just use analog, 8-way firing metroidvanias I use d-pad and ones with bullet hell style bosses I just use a keyboard. The important thing is you have exquisite tastes by being a metroidvania enjoyer. Whatever works man.

Battlefield 6 (PvP with my cracked out wife), Absolum (these guys make solid stuff, and this looks gorgeous, try the demo), Aethermancer (super hype, hope they do a Switch 2 port but Steam is fine, try the demo), Dead as Disco (unreasonably hype, why haven't you played the demo?), Silksong, Escape Simulator 2 (wife and I got a kick outta the demo), Morbid Metal (really enjoyed this demo for some reason, just so satisfying, sadly going to be an early-access game and I don't buy those), Dawn of War IV (hoping for campaign co-op with the wife, we recently got into tabletop with T'au and Necron armies), Metroid Prime 4 (gotta justify the two Switch 2s I bought for us), Cronos: The New Dawn (I don't care what any of you say this is Remnant without co-op, and would be better with co-op), Lost Hellden (looks pretty, might be shit, who knows), kinda interested in Cawadoody 42 for campaign co-op rented with Gamepass for a month,
