It might just be autism that makes someone look into things they're interested in. It's a little concering if most of the planet only has a surface level interest in things, it's also concerning if they're content with that.
PS. I'm a music fan into theory, but I still like something if it just sounds good. I guess I just innately like recognizing patterns.
