The immersion thing is entirely on you. I've always been super easy when it comes to vidya, books, and even board games. You have goggles strapped ro your face and your range of vision is limited. You basically have no peripheral vision. Neither of those hold me back but it just depends on you.

And for the "how often" part, it's something that comes and goes in waves. There will be a week or two where I'm using it every damn day, then I'll set it aside for a month or two. People bitching that it's worthless because it's not PC2 and they aren't using it for 15 hours every day is silly to me. I think it's a fantastic little device and there are a few games I come back to again and again but I'm not using it every day and I still think it's totally worth it. It just depends on where you draw the "is it worth it?" line. No, you won't be using it every day. It's not PC2. If you expect it to be, you'll be let down. If you tend to jump around and play lots of games instead of having 10,000 hours in some ASSFAGGOTS game then you might think it was a solid purchase. I got me a Quest2 and I love it even though it can sit around collecting dust for a month or two between binges.

Tiddies unrelated, I just like them.
/v/ - "Immersion" is a misnomer at best and a byproduct of a retarded mind at worst

I can get that immersed. And it's not just vidya. Happens with books too. Ever hear about a book disappearing when you're reading it? It's the same kind of thing. Your mind is just so absorbed in the story that you don't really feel like you're sitting there reading a book. You're just absorbed with absorbing information.
Hell, I'll get immersed playing board games too. I 2-hand Spirit Island all the time. It's not so much moving pieces around the boards and flipping cards. It's a little story that is unfolding on the island. I think that's why I love it so much. I get so completely and utterly immersed in it that even when I'm sitting there deciding which cards to play it doesn't drag me out far enough that my brain registers it as a board game. I'm just in the moment, taking action and seeing how things pan out. I've always been able to immerse myself like that in things super easily.

Tiddies unrelated. I just like them.
