They gave localization to an american nepo baby and now suffer the consequences of their actions. It had to happen. They needed to see in first-hand what happens when an american touches their product. It almost killed them.

I do not think you people understand what Calyx is as a villain. He is NOT a hypercompetent tragic genius of evil on a lonely quest like Hades or a master warrior like Zenos, or even a nihilistic demon like the Fandaniel. He is an insecure idiot who does tons of posturing but cannot walk the walk. In the end, he is just scared of dying and acts accordingly. His entire idea of evolution is just an explanation that has already been rebuked through in-game lore. He is just a memory that does not want to be shutdown, and everything else is a lame excuse to it.

The Primal summoning idea was really good and fit with his theme and ideas (mostly, feeds off a fear from death), but as of everything done by Calyx, it just does not work.

This is an interesting villain because for once we have a dude who is genuinely pathetic. And it is very fun to have a villain who, for once, is scared of us. He is a Light Yagami-like hypocrit character and it is great.
