You know, I am a principal software engineer. I have no concern about AI replacing me anytime soon. My managers... sure. Product people, absolutely.
I tried using AI to write some tests for me and it fucked up in every single way. For us it is basically a glorified spell checker.
I specialise in high throughput, low latency distributed systems based on probabilistic data structures. I have also worked as a data architect for years. These little supervised ML algos are not a threat if your job is highly technical and requires more than 2 brain cells. Basically, if you are in a department full of women, you are probably cooked.
