It's not just the Russia-Ukrainian war: people everywhere became extremely sensible and decided to mix real life politics with entertainment so we will never get a game like Ace Combat or Wolfenstein ever again.

If Devil May Cry 1 and 3, Ninja Gaiden Black and Ninja Gaiden 2, Metal Gear Rising and The Wonderful 101 perfected the genre, then why does matter if the genre never gets any new games again?
When you reach the peak there is nowhere to go but down and if the genre is solved then there is nothing else to do.
