The Fire Rises (if that's what you're talking about) is a modern day mod with a lot of extremist routes while remaining mostly grounded and plausible. Its PoD is that Covid is a lot worse than IRL, Saudi Arabia collapses, oil prices spike and the global economy fall apart, causing a lot of the aforementioned craziness.
Very good mod overall. The dystopia you mention is the EU route which lets you play as Claus Schwab and just buckbreak humanity forever. It's probably the most extreme route in the mod. Yes, the giga liberal EU route. In a mod that has Atomwaffen and Tabbiden.
