How come it's so hard to reason with people or de-escalate on 4chan? With online friends, or offline friends, it's possible to have a conversation and work things out. But on 4chan, if you say something someone dislikes and they view you as an adversary, that's typically the end of it. 1/4 of the time you can de-escalate, the rest of the time nothing you say can stop the person's chimpout. Anything you say can and will be used against you. Is it low IQ? Mental illness? People just being mean for shits and giggles despite not actually being mad?
