People don't actually want gameplay, they want to see numbers go and get that dopamine high as easily and quickly as possible, which is why the game with the least intensive gameplay is doing the best. Bet mihoyo wish they knew that before making zzz and just made it the exact copy of hsr gameplay wise.
Hell they could have made it and active time battle rpg and it probably would have done better.
