We get along really well into our 30's and 40's so its awesome. I just spent last weekend in Las Vegas with my brothers, Dad, and Uncle at the NASCAR races. As far as IndyCar goes, I wonder exactly what it is she likes about short track racing. That's one thing I have always appreciated about IMSA and been frustrated with NASCAR and IndyCar about. IMSA specifically runs most of the main events on Saturday so fans and teams can use Sunday to travel and sort themselves out before the work week. With NASCAR and IndyCar, you basically have to take Monday off if you have to travel, especially if it's a night race.

I mean if you want to get an idea of just how weak his 2023 championship was, he had less points through 20 event season than Marquez had scored after the sprint of round 15 this year. He has a good chance to end up like Vinales if he had been lucky enough for Marquez to be injured and Dovi to be riding an Aprilia back in 2017-2019.

I see a sport as being a gentlemaly test of one's self against one's self and/or one's environment. Auto driving, aviation, shooting, archery, hunting, fishing, horseback riding, running, cycling, swimming, skiing, sailing, rock/ice climbing, etc.

The main problem with F1 and development series in general is that it's difficult if not impossible to tell who the better driver is is most cases because the equipment is so different. Would everyone be sucking Max or Lewis dick all day if they were in Alpine equipment? I think that's pretty doubtful.

I see what you mean and I am not particularly fond of BoP but it has the POTENTIAL to be a balancing factor when implemented properly. I think Petit Le Mans was a pretty good example of that. It ended up being a fuel race, but pretty much every car had a decent chance of winning, especially if we would have had a late race yellow. WEC has drastically misused BoP, especially this year and especially with Toyota. They basically punished them for sticking with the series and winning a lot in the past.
The playoffs, on the other hand, almost reward luck more than skill, depending on how certain races play out. Even if it isn't luck, Lagano winning the championship with just 4 wins when when Larson had 6 is a pretty clear indication that the series isn't rewarding consistent performance and I'm not even a particularly huge fan or Larson,

I was trying to be generous, but yeah, there's a large element of luck involved. You do need a good car and driver to be up front for those overtime restarts. Although, looking at some stats really quick, Bowman had the least regular season points this year and a best finish of 2nd... IDK, at least they pass each other after the first lap.
Also, that's a good point about the overtime restarts. Everyone always complains about the play offs and stage cautions, but no one ever mentions the overtimes. I mean, finishing under yellow is kind of a blow job interrupted, but it's a bit more likely to reward consistency.
All that being said, watching Dennis run Bubba into the wall for Chase win was one of the most satisfying things to happen all season.
