Its' pretty easy. The important races are WC and the races that have big names. The good riders are the one winning almost every race

also the national champs in January. Guys like Eli Iserbyt, that focus solely on CX will do C1 and C2 races to, but winning a C2 gives you less points than a top 20 in a world cup, so the top tier riders dont even bother.
