Name a character who has taken as many L's as Angron.
>Hard Mode: No easy targets like Khaine or Swarmlord
crusade? More like poo-sade
>>95851129 (OP)>Have you played Crusade? What do you think about it?I played alot of Crusade in 9th edition and it was my favorite way to play. I enjoyed having a focus more on narrative games than just pick up match play games. 10th edition, I tried doing one at the start of the edition and it felt dry since everyone had indexes. My main complaint with 10th edition crusade is there's no generic crusade missions and all the mechanics in the books are heavily tailored towards the book(Tyranids and Chaos). I like the idea of strategic sites in Nachmund but the reinforcement mechanic seems like a drag. I wished GW came out with the additional mission booklets for Crusade but it is what it is. I'm still very much interested in that game mode, I think I prefer how 9th presented it a little better.

One of them was from a 6 armed alien mercenary. What the alien looked like or fought like was not stated. All we know is that he managed to kill a Spacemarine that is widely considered one of the better sword fighters in the setting.
>>95851178>Spacemarine that is widely considered one of the better sword fighters in the setting. No he isn't, literally only lucius thinks he's a good fighter
Where is 11th edition already
Do you think dark mechanicus actually has a chance of happening as the next army?
>>95851129 (OP)It was revealed to me in a dream that Custodes should be painted with "gold" armor and "actual gold" details, e.g. GSW Antique Gold pigment thinned with gloss varnish for most of their surface area and Vince Venturella gold on the trim like the six-way lightning bolts on the chest and the pauldron embellishments. Anybody got pictures of such a paintjob?
>>95851215Next army? Absolutely not
>>95851245If I can’t just mix 50/50 or dump the contents of paint into a larger container like with marine juice then I see no point in worrying about such mixes for convenience sake. Because I know I’ll mess up the mixture somehow.

I started one a few weeks ago and we're two games in but boy if people aren't taking it too seriously. I put together a 1000pts casual list of sorts and my last game I was facing a Rogal Dorn Commander, Leman Russ Vanquisher and a Hellhound all at the same time. It's 3vs3 and all sorts of OP shit at 1000pts are on everyone's list. And I'm fielding a Magus. I don't really enjoy stat-check games.
I really like the missions though (Tyranic Wars), they're much better than your average mission decks as they're fluffy. I wish the CM asked people to tone down their lists but I think he's on it as well.
>>95851245>Vince gold recipeI had to look this up and got a slight chuckle since the end result is basically the same as liberator gold
either way, the fun way to paint gold is to paint the model brown and then brush/drybrush/stipple your chosen gold on then get it with a little silver varnish for you choice of matte or gloss
>>95851342But doesn't that formula have insane coverage as well? I heard about it from poorhammer lads first but I can't honestly be arsed with it since I gold isn't a main color in anything I use so I went with Scale75's Dwarven Gold. It covers good but it's too yellow, I probably should have went with Elven Good which isn't as saturated.
>>95851245Why not electroplate them with actual gold? The volume needed isn't alot.
Just read the new Lions of the Emperor detachment for Custodes. Can someone explain to me how this is meant to be balanced?

>>95851215It is guaranteed coming eventually but I couldn't tell you how long out that is. Maybe another 2 years even.

This isn't even a real edition of 40k it's just some filler game for paypigs to go around the carousel buying every latest broken thing before moving onto the next. We're back in the 7th era death spiral type shit again.

Don’t quite wanna get into the details because it would mean a bigger wall of text as I phone post.
I’ve been looking at the GW store for too long, 60 bucks for some terrain walls is seeming reasonable…
>>95851129 (OP)>TQI'm like crusade but it's kind of shit when half your playgroup still doesn't have a codex to play it with even now.
It also has a tendency to snowball really hard with players taking a huge lead and getting too strong for others to compete, even with the catch-up mechanics. A campaign can't really sustain more than like ten game rounds before the haves and have nots start to pull apart.
How was your day /40kg/? I've been spreading misinformation and mistranslating rules for HH 3.0 on /hhg/.

Going Craftworld Eldar as, I enjoy elves, but where the heck can I buy the aspect warriors?! Everything seems to be sold out everywhere? Anyone know if GW has restock plans? Cannot for the life of me find any affordable minis.
>>95851590Resin printers are better for those applications. They make a lot of bio-safe (once properly cured) resins for prosthetic/dental use that are pretty easily obtainable.
>>95851569I'm still mad they just called it "Chapter Approved 2025-26" instead of giving it a title like "Chapter Approved Leviathan" or "Chapter Approved Pariah Nexus"

>>95851215I know that their army is probably gonna revolve around daemon engine units with heritech priests as hq and elites but what are the standard infantry fodder gonna look like? I don’t doubt that heritech skittari are probably gonna be the answer but that feels predictable
>>95851564i managed to get in not just one, but two battles. the new mission deck is interesting although i doubt we'll see the twist cards in competitive play as that shit is broken as fuck. havent tried the asymmetrical deployment yet
>>95851616I think more simply they’re matching the naming conventions of the General’s Handbook and Approved Ops.
>>95851162Any advice for a newbie to Crusade? I'm going to run sisters and really don't want to run named characters because that's super lame to me. The Crusades starting up at the end of summer (they've ran 3 this year and the GM wants a break for the summer) and I'm really excited for it. I've decided to only run painted models so I have until late August to finish my Castigator and paint a squad of Seraphim, Zephyrim and a few random infantry models. I have a baby due this week and have 8-10 weeks of paid leave lined up so plenty of chances for some sleep deprived painting with the baby in a carrying wrap.
Do yu think GW will ver do anything with the Chaos undivided entity they were cooking with a couple years ago?
>>95851609It's honestly the naming convention they should have went with the entire time since it's easier for people to tell what the most current set is at a glance, but they set a precedent before and now they've broken it so it's jarring, even if it is for the better.
>>95851657Its really easy to avoid named characters in sisters. Make a canoness or palatine your character on the path to sainthood. Probably the canoness because its easier to keep her alive. I would probably reccomend against the repentia if you have other models just because they are a bit fragile and expensive for 1000 points.
I see you have grayfax and ephrael stern there, which are totally fine balance wise. Maybe just run grayfax as a generic inquisitor? Then you can double up on crusade rules for Agents, right? Because Agents have bonus crusade rules you can spend your points on.

>>95851782Nah, not that wanna be god cuck.
>>95851820It's just weird since GW put a lot into an experietal media campaign to get the ball rolling, i guess that ight've changed since the pople GW is working with decided to divrge from that path.
Still looking for 7th edition codex's, if anyone can help i'd appreciate it. I've looked almost everywhere, it's like lost media. Looking specifically for the full codex's, not just the rules and if only some specifically Space Marines, Chaos Space Marines, and Eldar.
>>95851856I have everything anon, give me a bit. Do you want the entire edition with all the supplements as well?
>>95851760I'd love to run a repentia squad with living saint Palentine but the points cost is pretty insane for a squad that folds to rapid fire bolters. I've also got a fully painted paragon squad not in the picture as well as an unbuilt immolator, rhino and penitent engine. I'll probably run a jump Canoness as my first saint with a squad of zeph just for the looks alones

>>95851884That's my dream interlocutor's point—Auramite isn't gold, it's just gold-colored; it "realistically" probably has more in common with titanium nitride than good ol' 24k Au, but they're still the corpse emperor's janitors, and Big E fucking loves gold, so they'd still have gold-gold embellishments like the eagles on their pauldrons and greaves and shit. So you'd base coat in your brown-yellow "gold" and do the trim in your no-bullshit gold so it's not just "lmao I love gold so I put gold on my gold so I can gold while I gold" but still registers as "zamn those banana boys clearly work for somebody who fucking loves gold"

>>95852219My soul wants to tell me it's stupid, but with how well two already does I feel like it won't even be bad. Only real problem is you'll probably pretty damn thin on longer range anti large and also enough bodies for secondaries.
>>95852229>verdigrisI don't know what's more heretical, that the Custodes would let their armor corrode, or that their armor would be made of mere brass in the first place.
>>95852220you're asking for too much anon, im slow as fuck

>>95851884Funny that guy on the right seems more like a golden warrior companion of the Emperor than he would if he was solid gold. Less is more. I dunno he seems more like a high fantasy kings guard with the leather boots and gloves with a roman tunic

>>95852415Yeah World Eaters got fucked especially. Emperor's Children were pretty boring after such a long wait too, so safe and uncreative. I will be that one contrarian who says I like the Thousand Sons robots though, but they could have got more alongside it.
>>95852415You got skaven, there was your chaos.
>>95852412Yeah, tomorrow is my pickup game night, and I’ve got a game against a kitbashed darkmech chaos army on Tuesday. I’d say I find the salamanders most fun, the tau kinda feel odd. Either absolutely broken, or unable to even take a single objective. It’s probably just a lack of practice thing. I’ll be trying them out for the first time since their recent buff tomorrow. I’ve started alternating armies each week.
>>95852415They certainly won't use anything involving a "Year of" again knowing their fanbase will chew them apart for their lack of following through. I still ain't happy that all World Eaters got was a bloodthirster medic; a daemon known for slaughter and bloodshed, used to bring life.
>>95852427> I will be that one contrarian who says I like the Thousand Sons robots thoughThe robots are cool, but the box art paintjob is divisive and the robots themselves are the type of units you add to an army that already has everything, not one that (until very recently) basically had one list that actually worked.
>>95852443>a daemon known for slaughter and bloodshed, used to bring life."life is just a means toward more slaughter and bloodshed, ackshually"
>>95851139Does Mortarion have enough Ls?
>>95852103Schizo rabid animal, smug bastard, dominatrix.
This is now canon.
>>95852229Yeah that sounds like me
>>95852455Bitch khorne doesn't care from whence the blood flows! Maybe if these restored models were actually reinforcements guided by the bloodthirster's raging willpower, maybe it would make more sense. Instead they're literally bringing people back from the dead by being real angry.
So….I just watched my first video on the GW lawsuit thing which I had heard of but didn’t look into until now. What I gather is this:
>noooooooooo you can’t control your IP Warhammer is open sooooooource!!
Did I capture the main point?
>>95852443To be fair, I think a lot of people heard the term for the first time around the time the EC got revealed, so they had a greater focus at how little 40K Chaos got outside of the EC. Honestly I think if people got a unit+a character for each faction they’d be satisfied.
>>95852480It always the same argument. Just like when GW clammed down on the fan animation as well.
>>95852480Internigger if it were not for the laws of this land I would slaughter you
>>95852513Nah, there's still armies with obvious flaws in their army that a single squad and character can't fix. The cult marines are half an army, votann lack any variety beyond the basics, dark eldar have lost so many models between editions they're almost about to be removed, and chaos daemons are about to be kicked to the curb
>>95852479It seemed like the perfect opportunity to bring back the demon summoning mechanic to 40K. If he’s leading an 8bound sure he can bring them back calling on the demons inside them, but if he’s leading cultists when enough of them die you can roll to see if you can summon Bloodletters.
>>95852463Easily. At least Angron was a successful gladiator, and then a mostly-successful insurrectionist, and then did a mostly-acceptable job of bringing planets into compliance. Morty was never good enough for his foster dad, barely adequate for his other foster dad, and clearly the backup plan for his other-other foster dad, and since ascending to demon princehood he's basically done nothing but smell bad and take Ls
>>95851139M'Kar. Some of y'all forgot him haven't ya?

>>95852532Yeah, but a Pity Character+reselling you your army in the Battleforce is probably gonna feel worse than a new unit of dudes. Tzangorbots failed to meet expectations for different reasons though.
>>95851208About six months probably

I have decided. I am going to form an army with all the leftover and random Space Marines I have collected over the past twenty years. Going with a Space Wolf successor chapter, focused on disciplined use of ranged weapons over the berzerker methods of the Space Wolves. I blame getting into 40k with the Space Wolf Omnibus and old Space Wolf and Armageddon codexes. Pretty excited to finally have an Imperial army after twenty years of playing. Now to just finalize the backstory of the chapter and get a painted miniature to see how the scheme I picked looks in on the tabletop.
I sometimes hear people say they like 30k rules but they don't want to play marines vs marines. So 40k has better army variety, but 30k has better rules. Can someone say exactly why this is the case? What is specifically better? I know all the 40k rules but I have not looked at 30k at all.

Templates are one of the things I think of most about this. I still remember how annoying it was having to manually space your squad out after every move. Blast removes that but it's just not the same, you lose that very visual guide for what was happening on the battlefield.
Same for destroyed vehicles remaining on the battlefield or teleporter variance.
>>95852686Lethality was not an issue relative to 9th or even 10th. The guy was incredibly vague in his made up claim, I can only assume he means rolling a deep strike mishap into terrain. Which is why you wouldn't deep strike where that was likely to avoid exactly that. And boards back then were larger and required less terrain overall because of the dramatically decreased lethality.
>>95852677Semi-accurate, yes. I've been writing up a backstory and picking out paints in my collection and assembling marines from starter sets but otherwise have not made it to priming, painting and conversions.
Man, I remember tanks having variable AV values based on which side they were being shot from. I remember drawing a line from each of the sponsons to make sure it could line up all its guns right.

Instead they got "here's some guys possessed by 8 daemons" and they look less possessed than the guys possessed by ONE daemon. So fucking retarded. They also could have given them a jump pack unit or a bike unit or an open-topped transport or a full unit of berserkers on juggernauts - you know, literally anything to demonstrate that maybe the fucking melee-loving army would try to get into melee faster.
Thousand Sons still need a psychic Dreadnought. Such an easy dunk for GW and they just refuse to do it.
>>95852703It did make it feel more like a simulation. But at the same time, the game has changed to be more appealing to tournament fags. A lascannon hit could do anything from absolutely nothing to explode a vehicle in one shot regardless of what that vehicle was. It had a lot more " random " variables. With toughness and wounds there is a lot less of that. And back then as im sure you remember even glancing a vehicle could lead to shaken or stunned crew leaving the vehicle either only moving to doing nothing the whole next turn. Once again, this can't happen in the current tournament system, vehicles are more reliable for it but it feels more gamey, because it is.

Which edition made the switch to 40mm bases for Terminators?
>>95853192Wtf is wrong with you?
>>95852614You're both missing the point
What does perils feel like?
>>95853243Itchy. On the inside of your ears, eyes, mouth, lungs, heart, stomach, skin and brain all at once.
>>95853243Your body takes the brunt of your attempt to unravel reality, and is attempting to hold itself back together with as much strength as it has. Your muscles will ache and spasm, your motor functions will be set to overdrive, and you'll feel every bit of it. Your body will mutant uncontrollably as a result of the psychic whiplash, or even explode into a bloody water balloon as all the energy you held on to rapidly expands without any way to stop it. It's not uncommon for a commissar to be near a sanctioned psyker to prevent their peril from affecting anyone else via execution

And after putting him through psychological screening they were hesitant but eventually said "fine you can join the deathwatch"

Yeah but Webway portals are rare, does that mean that Eldar cannot travel to any system without a Webway portal? It would take years to travel from one system to the next (stars are average 4-5 lightyears apart) without a Webway.

>>95853570What's so special in this model's design?
I see, yeah, it's cool. But not cooler than another 100 designs.
Can he capitalize on the current anti-woke fad to get through some demands and make it go to production faster and make the series a bit less shit or is amazon too set in its ways?
>>95854155It's the first space marine ever designed, from a year before 40k released. Beyond that, it's pretty unique. Personally I love how industrial and pulp scifi he looks. I always liked that about RT era marines.
>>95853849Someone answer me?
>>95854161>anti-wokeSleepy Marines?
Anyone know of models with powerswords that are also:
A. Male (female hands like on sororitas are too small); AND
B. mortal (i.e. non marine)
I am wanting to kitbash some crusaders (yes I know they're legends but idgaf)
>>95854161this is never coming out, it's vaporware, Cavill will quit like he did with witcher out of principle. The best shot at something good despite what people think of it as a service is Warhammer+ animated shows, it's by far the best medium for it, and the quality in terms of the look of it is starting to get pretty good now with the tithes series. Just need to get some good writing and bring in the best of BL authors and something good could be made.
In order for it to go viral and become a mega success you'd probably need live action though, or if animation only the Arcane team could bring that type of mainstream hype.
>>95853895>Archon>60 Kabalite Warriors >6 Raiders>3 Ravagers>5 Cronos

>>95853895I don't play 10th. Used to play a list with 1 librarian dread, 1 chaplain dread and as many dreads as I could fit in the list.
If I have to strip an entire army (sisters specifically), what's the best bethod to do it? Just large vats of simple green, an toothbrush, and a lot of elbow grease? I've heard of people using those vibrating jewelry cleaners, has anyone tried those out before?
>>95854142>Yeah but Webway portals are rareLmao, before the fall eldar build atleast one webway portal on each planet across galaxy, and they can create webway portals to move around the planet or between planets.
>>95854161>Can he capitalize on the current anti-woke fadNo.
Because GW is the one who owns the IP and Amazon are the producers and they don't give a shit what some actor has to say.
He either packs up his shit and fucks off or he bends the knee. Those are his only choices.
And honestly? I prefer that the TV show or movie or whatever the fuck they've been planning never comes to fruition and stays in developement hell forever.
>>95854315I would use a dedicated paint stripper for plastic (like biostrip 20 or the greenstuffworld one) and an ultrasonic cleaner.
simple green is frankly trash for paint stripping, takes way too long and doesn't do it properly in the recesses.

The Temu airbrush finally gave away, now it's nozzle is leaking. RIP 2025 - 2025
I do wonder if I fucked it up somehow or it was destined to happen. The mini-compressor is still working though I don't know if it'd be compatible with anything else. I primed about 40 models, basecoated a dozen and painted some hazard stripes before it started not spraying at all despite cleaning it thoroughly.

>>95855363By having to sacrifice some of their points to run troops, fucking retard.
>>95855390There are two ways. One is as a speedbump. If your enemy has a lot of scout moves and seems to wanna be aggressive with them, you can stick a unit in front of those scouts to block them. The infiltrators will die, of course, and scouts are better at this job, but infiltrators will work in a pinch. The second is as deep strike deniers, where you use their 12" aura to secure your deployment zone from any sneaky fuckers trying to get into it. They do this job much better than eliminator because of the larger unit footprint and aforementioned 12" anti-deepstrike aura.
So is artillery as an archetype dead?
>>95855390Their main ability is to deny deepstrikes/reserve units coming in under 12 inches so you position them in a way where your opponent can’t flank your other dudes. They also have smokescreen and a Feel No Pain wargear, so they’re also able to go on their own to do objectives as well.

This is way more units in the "troops" category than forced by the FOC. It could very easily have swapped some stuff out for another helbrute and chaos spawn unit if the listbuilder wanted to. But it uses troop units because they're pretty good, not because the game arbitrarily forces it.
>>95855390Deepstrike blocking is really good especially into Deathguard

Do the High Lords really put nepobaby retards in charge of major combat fronts which are support to protect the Imperium, and not the most accomplished and talented person available who have already impressed the High Lords with their ability? >>95855525You run bigger units when you have potent buffs to apply to them AND need the hammerblow such a unit provides. Often, these come from leaders, but sometimes it's for stratagem efficiency too.
I don't think you'd ever want to run infiltrators as 10-mans. Even if you have a phobos captain or lieutenant, he's better off either running solo or leading one of the smaller units for flexibility. They're not damage dealers or sturdy enough for frontline duty, better to keep them as cheap as possible so they can skirmish efficiently.

>>95855525IMO MSU depends on 5 factors! Always remember to be a meta SLAVE when it comes to MSU vs big blobs.
S - Strats. Are you going to be using strats on that unit? 2x3 Inceptors and 1x6 cost the same, but Storm of Fire matters a lot more on the 1x6. If you aren't going to use strats, 2x3 might be better!
Leaders- What is the leader doing? If he buffs the unit do you want to maximize the buffs he gives, or is the squad just ablative wounds for one guy? If he's buffing, MSU is probably not the way to go
Actions- Do you expect to use the unit to do actions? Must they shoot every turn or might they do actions to turn the tide. MSU tend to be better for actions.
Visibility- how huge is a unit? It's pretty easy to hide 10 Scouts out of LoS, not so much for 10 Gravis dudes. More guys means they are harder to hide and are more likely to get shot,
E - Efficacy - Can they do what they wanna do? Is a killy unit killing enough as a MSU or do you need big blobs to guarantee kills into your ideal targets? If it is a utility unit, do they need more models to do that thing better?

Because I remember that GW was very insistent that the chaos gods are not actual true gods, since they formed only after the creation of the universe, same for the C'tan. So are they leaving themselves some room for the christian god to be true?
>>95855645Hence why CSM almost always go for MSU infantry. Legionaries plus Lord is insanely good value for points for how much damage they can chuck out.
>>95855815>So are they leaving themselves some room for the christian god to be true?no
the last christian was ollanius pearson
>>95855815>What's the offical GW stance on christianity in 40k?It's long dead.
>>95855918>>95855858But since GW says the chaos gods only arose after the birth of the universe, what's the imperial stance on the origin of life? Even if the imperium prays to the emperor, they must understand that he did not creat all life. Because if he did, then he must have also created demons and xenos, which should be killed on sight according to the ecclesiarchy.
>>95855930>then he must have also created demonsDaemons aren't life.
>>95855934But Xenos are, so what's the ecclisarchys stance on that. If the emperor is the one true god, why did he make Xenos just for the empire to kill them. And if he isn't, who/what is?
>>95855930>>95855937There's no intelligent design in 40k other than humanity which is created in the emperor's image
>>95855930>what's the imperial stance on the origin of life?Emperor made it.
Rest you ask is irrelevant.
>>95855946But the emperor wasn't around at the birth of the universe
>>95855945So what's the ecclisarchys stance on the origin of the universe/xenos life?
>>95855930Gonna depend on the specific cult and belief system. The only specific tenants are
>The Emperor once walked among men, but He is, and always has been, a god.>The Emperor is the one true god, regardless of what past faiths any human may have worshipped.>To purge the heretic, beware the psyker and mutant, and abhor the alien.>Every human being has a place within the Emperor's divine order.>To unquestionably obey the authority of the Imperial government and one's superiors.Anything past this point can vary, and that's not taking into account the Cult Mechanicus which does indeed believe in an overarching god that created everything which holds in concepts like evolution.
>>95855949Jesus wasn't around during the Great Flood. Your point?
>>95855949>So what's the ecclisarchys stance on the origin of the universe/xenos life?Irrelevant as it doesn't involve humanity.
>>95855967Why are you being willfully obtuse, I'm simply asking what the official stance of the imperium is on where the universe and Xenos came from, because they clearly can't think the emperor made them, and you're being a fucking asshole about it.
>>95855976>Noone of the quadrillions of people in the imperium ever asked "Yo, if the big E made all of this, why did he make the Xenos"Retarded worldbuilding.
>>95855985Why are you getting so mad about the fact that GW never will say the christian god is in 40k
>>95855985Anyone who asked that question would just be shot/flogged for questioning the Emperor.
>>95855990I don't need it to be christian, I just want someone at some point, in the setting to ask some questions about the origins of the universe and life, because those are big questions that are important to everyone, and ignoring those is retarded.
>>95855949>But the emperor wasn't around at the birth of the universeThe ecclesiarchy don't know that.

>>95855985the average imperial citizen doesn't even know xenos exist
>>95856010Thank you, so the answer is simply
>The Emperor once walked among men, but He is, and always has been, a god.Which then brings up the question of
>Why did the emperor create the Xenos in the first place if he hates them so fucking much
>>95856016You mistake is thinking anyone would actually ask that second question when literally all of humanity are brainwashed and servile, no better than cattle. Like the official story of the horus heresy just mentions that there just happened to be 9 anti-primarchs that just showed up from somewhere, and no one questions this because questioning it would mean you're probably gonna get killed.
>>95855930>what's the imperial stance on the origin of life?the universe exists for humans to rule
>>95856045So what do for example the high lords of terra think? What does Guiliman think? After all, he knows that his dad didn't create the universe
>>95856129they're atheists
>>95856129>So what do for example the high lords of terra think?Same thing everyone else does.
What does Guiliman think?
The imperial truth which is atheism.
>>95855930true god = true omnipotence is simply an abandoned concept, except maybe for the mechanicus's stance on the motive force, but that explains away inconsistencies with "god works in mysterious ways" and "free will is the source of all problems in creation"
>>95856140>>95856136Thank you, that finally answers my question
What if my dudes used the 30k definition of a chapter?
>10k strong
>10 companies 1000 strong
IMO these numbers make a lot morr sense.
>>95856195>What if my dudes used the 30k definition of a chapter?Space book and imperial law not support.
>>95856207>Space bookMany chapters don't care about that.
>imperial lawI don't think imperial law says anything about marines except not being able to compete with the navy. They are outside of administratum jurisdiction.
>>95856195They would have to keep it on the down low, or be in a relatively isolated part of space. Like each thousand strong company has its own name to obscure the fact it’s part of a greater “true” chapter. Hell, the Badab War shows you can get away with quite a bit so long as you pay your taxes.
>>95856140Depends on who you're asking. The Space Wolves, like most space marine chapters, think the Emperor is just the greatest humans. But unlike most chapters, they believe gods exists (Morkai, etc) and that these gods are mightier than the Emperor.
All baseline humans think the Emperor is not a god, but THE God with capital G.
Custodes and the primarchs think that no gods exists, because the Emperor said so.
>>95855985The Emperor is a god because he has godlike powers. Its a bit like mantling in Elder Scrolls. Mortals can become gods by "walking like a god until a god walks like you". And that for gods, time is not linear. The Emperor may have become divine in 30th millenium, but him becoming divine means he was always a god if not THE God.
Which is why I said that Jesus wasn't around during the Great Flood, but he was because Jesus is God.
The Emperor, as he becomes God, sees time like a book and has the ability to go to any page and write in it as if he is the author.
Maybe the Emperor made us in his image as God, who after all, made humans in his image.
Slaanesh is also like this, existing as a god before even he was born.
Does it make sense? Not to our minds, shackled by the constraints of linear time. But its normal for us to be perplexed by divine logic.

I hope during the Military Parade this weekend that Trump finally reveals the Astartes Marines
>>95856232>They are outside of administratum jurisdiction. But not outside of inquisitorial jurisdiction, and they do indeed police legion building. And the High Lords aren't very keen about it either.
>>95856247Ultramarines are an exception but given Guilliman wrote the codex astartes specifically to avoid another Heresy I’m surprised he’d let his own legion grow drastically in numbers.

Should I ran Abaddon with 10 chosen in land raider in my next game? Opponent is playing imp knights
>>95856263Sure, but legions were 20 times that size. A legion chapter is still far from that.
>>95856004Everyone in 40k knows about evolution so they have no need for a Christian omnipotent god.
>>95856232This isn't one of those de jure things but is a de facto thing. Legal jurisdictions and other such things don't really matter when every other organization in the imperium(including other marines) will put a stop to you if it's found out. And it's basically impossible to hide.
>>95856265Ultramarines are still only 1000 strong. He reduced the size of Ultramar to what he believed one chapter could handle (it’s been a minute but I believe it was only 8 planets) When he decided to make it 500 worlds again after returning he didn’t grow the size of the Ultramarines, he simply recruited around 10 Successor Chapters to assist in the project.
>>95856011I would but I don't play dorfs
>>95856284Here's a very simple thing anon, do you have more than roughly 1000 marines? Are you on a crusade? If yes to the first and no to the second, then you are legion building, they don't care how big the legions are, they care that you have more than 1000 marines.
What can I use as NOT wet pallete? Should I buy Citadel Servo-Skull Palette or is it a meme? Its like 12 bucks
>>95851129 (OP)Anyone have any cool Death Guard or Drukhari color schemes? I'm just not feeling most DG stuff I look up online.
>>95856195In the Principia Belicosa a Legion chapter was divided into two battalions, each with 5 companies of 100 marines. So a standard 30k chapter would be 1000 marines. Almost like Guilliman based his Codex on an existing framework, rather than completely inventing it.
>>95856317They don't really, since the ultramarines, dark angels, space wolves, blood angels, and black templars all keep more than 1k marines at all times
>>95856322get a bathroom tile
or a cheap set of 50 watercolor cups, I got one with six per and I haven't even worn out the first one yet

>>95856332>since the ultramarines, dark angels, space wolves, blood angelsFirst founding's get a pass(and ultras in fact do keep to those rules as it is outlined in the codex).
>black templarsAre on an endless crusade thus exempt.
In all cases none of them have even close to 5k marines, much less 10k.
>>95856322I used the egg holder tray from my fridge. I wasn't using it anyway and it's quite shallow.
>>95856345depends, normal metallics I put on my wet palette, vallejo metal color/model air metallics in cups because they're so thin already the wet palette will just split them immediately
>>95856317>do you have more than roughly 1000 marinesYes but its secret
>Are you on crusade?No
Guess my chapter
>>95856309>Ultramarines are still only 1000 strongProbably stronger. The Ultramarines actually have an 11th company now.
>>95855645>>95855557here's an example: chaplain (75pts) with jump pack intercessors (90/160pts) in blood angels. this is interesting because the leader and going from 5->10 models are ~the same price.
S: Angelic Inheritors gets free fall back + shoot + charge, so no need to consistently use stratagems for full value.
L: +1 to wound on S4 chainswords
A: They're fast so they certainly can, but they want to charge into melee and then smash into it over and over again.
V: jump packs are large but still 32mm bases
E: 1x5 with no leader is a tough sell imo, except to deep strike/rush some objective/fast screen. For that, VanVets are 95 points, can get a 4++, and have better melee into MEQ/TEQ with S5. JPI really wants that fall back + charge.
man 2000pts really give you a lot of room to second-guess yourself.
>>95856323Seen a blue and Green DG nautical theme. Don’t have a pic but I think you can google it
>>95856377JPIs are best at MSU for screening, harassing and deep strike. At 5 man they’re a lot easier to hide than a 10 man blob and a lot easier to fit.
>>95856247This, Huron had like 3k Astral claws by the time shit went south, and could have had more if he just paid off the Carthago sector governor and Administratum when the tithe flew showed up. Granted, with 3k marines under his command I guess he got a hit too big for his britches.
