Looking for a universal acrylic wash that doesn’t stain flat surfaces that much.

Dark Mechanicum is the safe guess but Lost and the Damned/Traitor Guard would be probably the easiest one to actually implement with what the game has right now.

Changing the head of destroyers with the heads of canopteks makes them look way more like necrons who have depersonalised themselves in the pursuit of becoming a weapon to destroy life.

Is there a reason why Noise Marines aren't battleline in EC like Zerks in WE, Plagues in DG and Rubrics in TSons? Is it because they are too elite for that?

Does Black Templars count as a new faction? If not, I would guess some sort of Eldar Merge with a +- on Exodites. I just don't see a new Imperial or Chaos faction which leaves Xenos and as much I want T'au schism and to split the Kroot and Vespid Auxilliaries away from my nice and clean armour and battle suits to get two visually cohesive armies I don't think that's going to happen.
A new necron faction would be weird and I personally don't trust GW to concept a brand new alien faction let alone give it sufficient support.

Necrons aren't just wires, it is engrams and necron, let's be honest here, magic that was done in conjunction with space gods that were able to translate a flesh being with a soul into a robot facsimile of the original form.
It's not like a Deathmark situation where their new bodies already came with the new mono-eye head, Destroyers are slowly created over time as they succumb to madness.

Deciding between another 10 Warp Talons or a Daemon Prince.

Szeras is delaying his godhood, not out of inability to ascend godhood, but because he wants to understand the secrets of life and the soul before doing so.

Secondly, Necrons keep being refered to as being more than machines. Ahriman straight up calls them a form of life, not mere machines. Necrobs have a tiny presence in the Warp, enough presence that daemons, gods, and psykers can detect it and read their minds.
Vashtorr can whisper into Necron minds and he can seee them as bright lights in the Warp.

Other AI and machines created from engrams DO NOT produce the soulless aura of the Necrons. The Admech and Tau have machines created from brain copying/transfer. They do not create the same effect.

Also when a C'tan broke down a Necron Phaeron piece by piece the essence of the Necron Phaeron appeared a wisp of energy, not a digital program.

While I want it to happen because I love DEldar, I recognize it is a big risk to GW. They haven't sold well for most of their existence and almost got axed thanks to the Ynnari storyline. Most of the model designs don't need updating (Just the ones they ruined like the Archon and Lelith), they just need to bring the finecast to plastic, update certain models with the better techniques they have and give expansion to either Kabals or Covens.
As an aside, I hate how people cite them being edgy as a reason why they don't sell, like CSM aren't a high selling army.

Covens are my favorite part of the army but they're definitely a pain to actually collect right now. There's only 5 units in the subfaction and two of them are resin that might drop into legends and two more of them are "online only" products so you can't find them at a discount anywhere.

Chaos xenos daemon princes confirmed canon though at least. There are other weird xenos here like a beast with a million eyes, that a WE thought was a single skull with a million sockets, but was actually a million different bodies and skulls with 1 socket each the strength an ork but part of a hivemind. Slaughtered by a single WE. And another is a xenos species that are flyers the size of land raiders that fired feathers like arrows and whose beaks could perice ceramite. A jumpack WE champion from the great crusade slaughtered them. Pity WE can't get jumppacks in their codex

Slaugth are a human body made of worms which is cool, but I like the original Lovecraft design of these guys better. There's a lot stacked against them. They're also relatively hard to paint and transport due to fragile models. Everything is spiky and spindly and models constantly hook on each other.
And they're one of the most expensive armies in the game on top of all that too, despite have decades old models because their points costs have been slashed so much they've become a horde army.
They barely have any lore relevance because GW routinely forgets that they even exist, even more than normal Eldar.
They have a good book series but it's also out of print and doesn't have an audio book.
They have no centerpieces that draw attention to the faction like most other armies do.
Their rules aren't great and they're one of the hardest armies in the game to actually play, but a few very dedicated faction specialists continue to struggle out and occasional tournament win so GW thinks they're fine and never fixes them.

Tau got better over time and has a pretty consistent aesthetic with battlesuits, hover vehicles and their fire warriors (Kroot and Vespids notwithstanding). Votann has a worse problem. Some of the army looks consistent with the runes, heavy armour and weapons, but others look way out of place with themselves.

But more serious, it is kind of hard, true, jump guys make not to much sense with how much mobillity they already have. But some non vehicle machinery or some really big hybrid (ratogre style) or an armieger or knight class vehicle. (in theory they miss a flyer but that does not go to well with the tunnelrats theme.) a "real" trapper. a squad only familiars like grots (or a familiar sneaky hero but the game hates small objektive grabbers i think).

Hey dudes, I keep seeing these world eaters youtube guys talking about these tricks you can do to avoid Fights First involving pile in/consolidate. I think I get it, basically you charge something with 2+ units and kill it with the first one and then if you placed your guys right, your remaining units are outside engagement, but can consolidate into the FF unit, but it's after the FF phase so they don't get to use it. Right? I've only played 4 games and we're all new.

Yes. When you attach a leader it becomes a 'model in this unit'. It's very rare that the rules carve exceptions to exclude the leader. A great example is Sororitas Repentia Squad.

You play very differently depending on which detachment you run. Skysplinter is all about the boats and jumping in and out and using cover to not get shot off the board. Reapers is more about footslogging infantry and mounted bricks popping big enemies in waves while you advance and charge from staging positions using Harlequins 4++ saves to stick around. Realspace has a bit more durable Covens stuff with their toughness strat and a hail Mary full send double move for objective play but is generally the weakest option.

Whatever you run, you will still use Scourges for fire support while using jump-shoot-jump to not get shot back and either Mandrakes or reavers to run around and do objectives. Probably want to own at least one Beastpack in every list too for scouts because they are the only real option the army has and early pressure is crucial and you don't want to have to save your mandrakes infiltrators for it. Reaper's can get away with archraider as a poor man's replacement

Dark Eldar struggle with having a bully unit to actually sit on points and take a shot/punch and create some space to keep your transports from getting rushed down and cracked before you can deploy out of them on your turn. Grotesques are decent at this (Urien Rakarth is better) but they have the added utility of a flamer threat that helps in some matchups. They can also actually take a punch in melee too so they can tie up terminators and tanks and the like in a pinch to deny some shooting, because even incidental shooting is dangerous to your fragile infantry and boats.
