Everyone will instantly know exactly what you're doing (which is running defender tribal with a shitload of untap effects). Arcane Signet, [Colour Pair] Signet, Talisman, Medallion, all absolute staples in 2 color
In monocolor you still run AS and Med, but you lean harder into what your color does. Even white has Knight of the White Orchid, Archeomancer's Map and catch-up mechanics like Keeper of the Accord.

The only excuse I have ever found to run diamonds is in my gruul cascade deck where I'm banking on never having to cast them and am too cheap to replace them with medallions.

so here's the real analysis from 5 minutes on The Rec. This is an extremely unpopular and unsupported archetype because the best commander for this sort of shit is Muldrotha or just partnering Silas Ren with something green like Kodama or Ick Techtits. If you're talking about your Golbez deck specifically, with your surveil subtheme, you could use Glarb. She lets you surveil, play from the top, and gives you all 3 colors. Enhanced Surveillance, Unshakable Tail, and mostly Matoya are still good in her deck, as well as Eye of Duskmourn and Doom Whisperer. The problem is it feels like you're fighting to do too many things, Surveil to dig can be paid off better with just a graveyard theme and no need to commit to artifacts, 4+ cmc is a LOT for most useful artifacts since major parts often are 2-3 cmc.
