Yes.
Surprised that no ex-ForgeWorld staffers have come out and explained how to make such images in any editing software.
I know the images look deceptively simple of some effects, and filters over a well taken photograph, but it can't be that easy.

And Games Workshop might be motivated to make such pictures instead of art lest they get into a "controversy" over using AI Warhammer 40k images or being accused of using AI or one of their artists decides to cheat with AI.

Are the TSon robots not used because they aren't released yet or what?

Codexes would be improved if they were just art+fluff and the rules were digital-only. Glamor shots of all the models so that conformists had more than box art to go off of would be nice, too, or they could be packed in as a color-by-numbers guide with the models themselves.

I think that along with more lore/photos/paint schemes.
Let them be more of a lore update/artbook with the rules more like a footnote in the back.

That way you can update rules online as much as you need without people feeling bad for buying an "outdated" book, but technically can still use it on the table top. It also makes them feel better to buy as something to immerse yourself in a new army/faction.

I have never played against DE or even really seen them in person in nearly 20 years of 40k, but God damn these models are actually really fucking cool.

Scourges, kabalites and incubi have so much personality and a surprising amount of poseability. They were a pleasure to build.

I finally started getting shit in the mail so I can start everything.

Currently waiting on sprue glue to start reacting and soften again. It was too gunky and I added too much acetone. I was running some numbers on these fellas and they're clearly the busted unit of the codex. A unit of 6 with an iron master costs about 220 points. Pop sustained hits 2 and re-roll hit rolls of 1 and you can expect:

Deathwing Knight unit wiped
Land Raider dead

Very spooky unit, it seems GW doesn't learn the lesson that a unit that autowounds 50% of the time when hitting usually becomes silly but doing that with access to sustained hits and with an AP 2, damage 3 weapon is definitely a choice.

Yeah the main one that seems busted is the conversion beakers: 24” 2A 4+ S7 AP2 3D Lethal Hits and if you shoot at targets over 12” you get 4+ hits. If you pop sustained 2 then you realistically turn 6 shots (50% chance to hit) into 18 shots and oh yeah they’re all fucking lethal hits so auto wound that’s before you add an extra 16% on with reroll 1s to hit. looks great anon, and yeah just noticing some of the details are unbelievable. the only silver lining for me is the fact that i buy most of my minis second hand, and i rarely ever see people on marketplace selling them so it incentivizes me to buy a box at a time (new) and forces me to finish them before getting something else. i also plan on playing final day so at least one half of the army will be easier to get second hand although all of the vanguard shit sells very quickly. its close to impossible to find a cheap lictor, deathleaper or winged hive tyrant atm. that and the trygon will be my centrepiece models, until 11e comes out and we go back to the index and half of my army isnt eligible anymore

Problem with the GSC are there aren't any decent discount boxes available right now and this is a serious issue given how expensive the army is otherwise. You really do need Neophytes and Acolytes and only the acolytes are included in the new combat patrol.
For the ribbing I'm using Tamiya's black panel liner after applying some umber wash from Vallejo and it looks good enough for the most part. I'm not a fan of contrast type paints so that's up to you. I primed the first batch in white and I don't recommend it, like I've said there are too many details and I still see some mistakes or areas that aren't covered in paint that are still white but that's on me as well.
I suggest getting a box of Neophytes to see if you like painting them, the process is more or less for the rest of the army.
