Playing a game with 6 players.
Most decks are doing their things, and interacting with each other. One player hasn't done much of anything, aside from earlier attacking their Commander and then taking it back for some reason when they find out that all it'll do is kill the person they're attacking's creature, not also hurt them. The Commander has Vigilance, so there's no reason not to attack. Aside from this they're mostly left to do their own thing, occasionally catching a stray AoE sacrifice a creature effect. This never causes them to lose their Commander.

Several turns later they just decide to play fucking Obliterate. Fortunately another player has open mana and casts Venser, returning the Obliterate to their hand so everyone doesn't lose literally everything except for 3 entire Enchantments on the board.
Because of the presense of this Obliterate in hand, another player attacks them with Etali, Primal Sickness, which due to a sword, meant it couldn't be blocked.
The player gets super pissy, scoops up all of their stuff and leaves complaining that they didn't get to do anything that game, and it's true, they basically did nothing, but they were being left alone as a result, it was literally only because they had a literal "reset the game" card in hand that they were killed.

I hate ordering a complicated card online after filtering to only English in a mass purchase, only to have one of them come up in Phyrexian.

They need to stop fucking tagging cards in Phyrexian as English, they're not.

I don't mind getting occasional cards in, like other languages with the same character set, like in French or German, because you can show someone the card, say what it does and they can look over it and go "yeah I can see that".

the lordship keyword i imagine as your commander making a pact with you, the player, giving you some major power but causing you to lose the game. i think the concept is really cool and flavorful, here are a couple other examples i came up with (not just for Ranni)

Only foreign cards I ever used were the Anime Chandra and the Flametongue Kavu that came in her deck.

I remember dropping that Japanese Kavu, saying it dealt 4 damage to his creature, and he just wouldn't believe me. After four minutes of trying to convince him, he went off to his computer, looked up the card, and told me that it was broken as fuck.

I was thinking of swapping the Pathways and the Bounce lands for a Fetch and Surveil package maybe but it's a tad expensive. The players at the store are semi proxy friendly, it's complicated and stupid. Not needed in this post.

I personally like the filter lands here because of how many double and triple singlecolorpip spells I'm on but could entertain the Pain lands as a kind of way to pretend Im loosing life slowly. I would have to playtest them in this case.

Not every commander deck needs to be a quirky pile to show off how unique and special you are. Sometimes it's just fun to beat faces in with a hot girl with big tits.

Start with 35 lands, 10 ramp, 10 draw and 10 removal. Throw some cantrips in for good measure.
Pick a gameplan that may or may not be influenced by your general. Arbiter is pretty open, the world is your oyster. Fill in the remaining cards with cards that fit your gameplan and try to keep your CMC bellcurve centered around 2 or 3.
This next part is very important, you are probably going to lose a lot at first. Just make mental notes of what you wish you had in your hand, cut cards that dont seem to be super impactful or sit in your hand too much. Over time you will have something you are truly proud of.

I hate Eldrazi. Them being colorless and designed for standard right when EDH was starting to get popular was very destabilizing back then. Everyone pretty much had to redesign their decks to deal with them, and ANY EDH deck could run them, and getting that much mana or cheating them into play wasn't a problem. So glad Emrakul got banned real quick. That pretty much solved the problem, but seeing them show up so often, especially when you're getting mana screwed and a Ulamog comes out turn 5 and makes you sac some land... yeah.
