I have a Pride of Hull Clade deck where the goal isn't so much to defeat players as it is to deck myself and flash out LabMan/Jace with a massive draw trigger on the stack. Deck has a bunch of "can't be blocked" auras and "no max hand size" cards and I pretty much always have 30+ cards in hand. Anyway having Masumaro, First to Live attack, unblockable, and then playing Inner Calm, Outer Strength on it to send someone to the shadow realm is the deck's most powerful play

This is the most effective card for baiting retards. It always eats a swords, assassins trophy, or murder etc... it's comically a bad card but people shit their pants at the thought of a turn 1 dragon and can't help but kill it instead of ignoring it. It's never survived an entire turn around the table.

Vehicles aren't that bad if you are able to use their nature of not being a creature all the time as a positive. Besides being basically immune to wraths, which is pretty easy to exploit yourself, they dodge a lot of random and incidental interaction, and people just fucking forget they aren't creatures most of the time.

Man our friday night commander matches have been fucking awful lately. One of our players keeps playing these decks with low effort auto win conditions then getting mad when he gets the shit slapped out of him, and then won't play anymore than 1 match before he leaves.

Played some weird planeswalker deck last night with a jace card that says he wins automatically if he draws but has no cards left in his library. So he managed to mill like 40 cards in two turns, and was shocked when everyone just swung on him and ended it on like turn 5, literally just collected his shit, got up and left because we let him win and then complained about our "poor threat analysis" in a group discord message.

Yup, another option I looked was Arahbo, Roar of the World. This would make it easier to create a coherent deck (just fill it with gfur cats). Marisi will need some more thinking but it has access to more colors (and looks better as a commander).

Its been like this three weeks in a row and he always leaves preventing us from getting consecutive matches in.

Last week he played a deck that rather aggressively tried to mill everyone out at the table simultaneously, and he had brought everyone down to like 20 cards, so we all just collective fucked him up again, and I swear to god he was so fucking mad, I literally was laughing in his face.
Hes been playing magic for 15 fucking years, half of his life, I have no idea what hes expecting to happen. You can't play these decks with no way to defend yourself with obvious, gay ass win conditions and expect to not be targetted. He doesn't even sit and watch the match finish, just fucking leaves. A week before that, someone fucked up his gameplan, and kind of ruined his wincon, so he just outright surrendered, didn't even care to try and influence the game anymore.

Magic has had comprehensive rules that are largely sensible for most of the game's history at this point. The kind of weird thing is that commander is actually a very complex format because of shit like this exact issue, but it just happens to be one of the most compelling formats for people just starting out, so misunderstandings like this happen fairly often.

I constantly fuck up my sequencing and threat assessment, and stress out when it gets to my turn because I've spent the cycle thinking about everyone else's boards instead and then fuck up under the pressure to not sit around going "hmmmmm" for five minutes. All my decks feel slow but not grindy so they fold under pressure really quickly.

The tough thing here is getting this deck to function in bracket 4. 3 might even be a stretch. This is more of a (dated) deck building philosophy thing than a specific commander thing. But your games will be higher variance, they will likely not be solitaire and likely wont be commander reliant.
A tip: Repeatable removal becomes a must because you wont be drawing a lot, pestilence, aura shards, Attrition etc. maybe even put removal in the command zone like Zacama, Primal Calamity or new braids

You'll want some more interaction as you go, some defensive and some offensive. Some defense is built into the Slivers, but you can't always rely on having those specific ones every game.
How large? 100 cards. It has to be, no more and no less. (That is to say, your commander and 99 more.)
As far as lands go, that's going to depend on your budget. Obviously stuff like OG duals are going to be the best, but that's ridiculous to suggest. Triomes are good if they're in your budget, a few fetches to grab them if you have them around, some dual lands that feel decent and aren't too expensive/that you have on hand, a couple of lands that tap for any color and/or have some utility to the deck that you want, and fill in with basics to get up to around 35-40 lands, depending on your curve.
At a glance at edhrec, it seems that Rhystic Study and Cyclonic Rift are in about 30% of decks, but that's the case in most any deck in blue. Same with Demonic Tutor. That's gamechangers for you. If you think a card on the game changer list fits what you want to do with the deck, sure. If none do, that's fine, too.
Any/all of the other five color slivers will of course be obvious picks. Stuff like Cloudshredder Sliver, Manaweft Sliver, Bonescythe Sliver, Shifting Sliver, and Galerider Sliver top the list of what goes in the most common Sliver decks. The new Thrumming Hivepool could be fun for it.

i found it a lot easier to turn this type of deck into a control deck with the infinite blink or reanimate combos to just absolutely destroy everything. it wasn't even that worth it to have other token makers when breya is the token maker and the final combo piece. i would much rather cards to grab the combo and protect it than a bunch of random clue token makers and such. but this style of deck was a little too sweaty and linear for my taste, which is why i ended up going modular.

i just have a bunch of lands that tap for any colour, so my manabase is usually pretty smooth. i bought a shitload of tarnished citadels a decade ago when everyone thought 3 life for a colour of mana was too much and before they jumped to the 20-30 dollar range. my playgroup has also moved to a bit slower of a meta because we got tired of the arms race, so i can run a few of the trilands (it is still a fast meta, though).

technomancer works really well with modular creatures for that reason. you sac a really big ravager, then bring it back for next to nothing. have an arcbound crusher around to also get really fucking big from both the treasures AND the modular trigger. then sac a single treasure to bring back ravager or have things like smile at death to keep bringing shit back. have laezel or other counters matter creatures to increase the amount of counters you get (reyhan gives you extra modular triggers, for example). modular is just a very cool mechanic and leads to super interesting games, especially because no one is going to fuck with your arcbound stinger (until it is too late).

Yeah absolutely, small boys who grow are what make Modular so cool. I used to love the mechanic and Crusher was one of my favorite cards and is often my favorite pet card for that reason. Ravager, Crusher, and Reclaimer are all fantastic. i like crusher even in non-modular decks because he triggers off of ANY artifact entering, not just yours. and with all the treasures and clues that people are making these days, he gets absolutely massive super quick (or acts as a rattlesnake where people hold back on extending because they don't want to get arcbound crushed).

Flubs player, he is my "All Graveyard, No Orzhov" deck, and i would say he can get a bit durdley lategame. He best is built with low cmc spells though, resolving those wont take much time ~ especially when you stop doing your wheel spinning because you drew a Cheap spot removal or fog or something you might possibly want to hold off.
His build also lacks counterspells and "in response" type reaction anyways, because you simply cant really keep those cards in hand to continue wheeling, which makes him a lot more bareable than other Temur Legendaries.

Id rank him lower to mid tier rank on the Temur/Izzet durdle scale (which is still way durdlier than your average commander)
