Why Does This Exist?
How does no one in America even seriously question its existence when millions of Americans see how simple foreign airport security is for the exact same result at 1/10th the time and hassle

>How does no one in America even seriously question its existence
Anon every fucking US citizen questions them, media from family guy to sitcoms make fun of how shit it is. You're delusional if you think people don't have open issues about it.

> exact same result at 1/10th the time and hassle
Not really, seen the same shit in TSA been replicated all over Europe and Asia. Probably the biggest issue TSA faces is due to how many fucking people are visiting here with virtually no concept of English. This means all of the people have to stop the entire line for Ahmed Rajeshedi or Zhang Chu or Shawquandica Abdoola and their 8 kids to please calm the fuck down and follow the pictures for instructions. I can't tell you how many times I've been in ORD, LAX, SEATAC, or some other place only to realize yup this line is going to stop for 15 minutes because Ahmed clearly doesn't understand he was suppose to check his luggage. It gets to be nothing burger mainly in the midwest 'flyover' places, texas/Atlanta and such are still bad but no where near shit level of the coastal cities.

Anyone who flies regularly generally knows the hours to go or different gate to use, PHX is hilarious because everyone funnels to one gate when 2 others are open with 80% less traffic. Alternatively, tsa precheck basically solves all my gripes with it and came with Global Entry

Nah you're an autist who misreads the pulse of the average cattle mutt who accepts the TSA as a mere inconvenience but necessary fact of life.

There is 0 legitimate public pressure to disband the TSA. Zoomers grew up thinking it's normal. There's no outrage over it on social media. Whatever the fuck family guy skit from 20 years ago, or stand up joke, doesn't mean shit, retard.

Anon, TSA is dogshit I agree most are braindead mall cop tier idiots who don't know their ass from their elbow. However, they are a good retard filter for some of the lowest IQ people on the planet so some credit where credit is due. Some of the shit for brains I've seen try to walk through TSA are real grade a retards.

People in the US deal with it because most people aren't frequent fliers and the people who do fly already know how to avoid the pain caused by TSA. What country are you comparing this to and what airports?

>There is 0 legitimate public pressure to disband the TSA
There is constant uproar on the TSA and was huge a few months ago with RealID. There are government officials who say the budget needs to be slashed and overhauled.

If this isn't some retarded bait, what happened they tell you to throw your water bottle away? See some anime porn that was your phone background?

How simple foreign airport security is? What the fuck are you talking about? Fly through Istanbul or Kuala Lumpur and you have to go through entrance security, then departure security, and sometimes gate security (which makes you throw away your water bottles so you have to buy water on the plane).

TSA is annoying when you fly like once every 1 or 2 years and forget that your laptop needs to come out this time but didn't last time or whatever. Fly through a absolute shithole airport like LHR and get back to me on security processing being dogshit. Or better yet KLM when everyone goes on their quarterly strike because some family wants their brother hired there and calls the place racist. Or hell any Taiwanese, Korean, or mainland China airport security processing.

At least with TSA, I know it's shit but should keep moving along and many post the current wait times. Not every place is going to be Bergen airport levels of ease or Singapore.

I fly bi-weekly domestically. TSA is a crock of shit, worse now you can bypass most of the line with clear. Now every joe blow has tsa pre-check, even gangster niggers.
Only times I get stopped by tsa is when I have a water in my bag. Not guns, knives drugs or anything, water. Because some mossad agent started a fire with water in the 70โ€™s or something. My hands got schwabbed with a napkin last time not sure wtf that was about.

Fly into MSP, ATL, DFW, DC, JFK, MIA and get back to me. LAX can be pretty bad at times too. GE is nice because it's also an incredibly useful second form of ID while traveling if anything did happen to your passport and embassy can cut the lengthy shit down to basically nothing.

Explosive tech and facial recognition have come a long way in the near 25 years since 911, as well as passenger profiling.
The stuff you see in the terminal is window dressing. Right now the threat has moved away from islamic terror to insider threats/people with access and insider knowledge.
Skyking, and a bunch of high profile smuggling operations have slipped through the TSA, so everyone watches everybody. Its like that scene in Casino, which a fuck load more cameras.

>The TSA explosive wipe test, also known as an Explosive Trace Detection (ETD) test, is a security procedure used to screen for trace amounts of explosives on passengers, their belongings, and in the airport environment. Officers use specialized swabs to collect samples from surfaces, which are then analyzed by a machine for traces of explosive materials

Bro this happened to me flying through Xiamen. I knew something was up when the guy started shouting at the girl at the counter in Chinese. Then they call some BIG motherfucker from the back and they surround me. I'm like "wtf" is this? Guy who was shouting turns to me and says, "U HAVU LAITA!!! LAITA IN YOUR BAG!!"

I totally forgot that I had a spare bic in the top pouch of my backpack. I was like "whoops" and threw it away in front of them. They became super friendly after that. The hilarious part is when I get to Thailand and make it all the way to my hotel, I realized that I had my old paratrooper knife (pic related) in the bag and had forgotten about it to (it was my camping backpack).

I kek'd for at least 5 minutes, after they went through all that drama over a lighter when I had a decent sized knife in there the whole time. Glad they didn't find it though, as I'd have been in DEEP shit had they discovered it and figured out what it was.

This exists because you can hide a ton of dangerous disguised as these items. Rather take the time to examine every enema, they cap the limits to the extent youโ€™d need a small army to smuggle in amounts that could be threatening. They don't. The vast majority of US citizens (well over 50%) have never had a passport. Of the remainder, many are turdie third world immigrants who only go to 3rd world countries to visit relatives and of the remainder a lot have done something stupid like going to Cancun on a cruise.
