>How does no one in America even seriously question its existence
Anon every fucking US citizen questions them, media from family guy to sitcoms make fun of how shit it is. You're delusional if you think people don't have open issues about it.

Not really, seen the same shit in TSA been replicated all over Europe and Asia. Probably the biggest issue TSA faces is due to how many fucking people are visiting here with virtually no concept of English. This means all of the people have to stop the entire line for Ahmed Rajeshedi or Zhang Chu or Shawquandica Abdoola and their 8 kids to please calm the fuck down and follow the pictures for instructions. I can't tell you how many times I've been in ORD, LAX, SEATAC, or some other place only to realize yup this line is going to stop for 15 minutes because Ahmed clearly doesn't understand he was suppose to check his luggage. It gets to be nothing burger mainly in the midwest 'flyover' places, texas/Atlanta and such are still bad but no where near shit level of the coastal cities.
Anyone who flies regularly generally knows the hours to go or different gate to use, PHX is hilarious because everyone funnels to one gate when 2 others are open with 80% less traffic. Alternatively, tsa precheck basically solves all my gripes with it and came with Global Entry
