Norway. Valid if you go there for /out/ related activities, but I grew up in Juneau Alaska and it was almost exactly the same nature wise.

I just got back from a trip to Vanouver and I was kinda mixed on it
On the one hand the nature and scenic views were really beautiful, but on the other it felt 99% identical to any other US city just with way more indians and drug addicts everywhere. Hell I'd say if you take out the indians and canadian flags Vancouver feels closer to cities like Boston or DC than LA or Miami do

The drug addict thing was probably the biggest damper though. I get that happens in America too, but it just felt like an absolute waste to have this city nestled in incredibly beautiful nature and then when you go for a walk there's all these addicts tripping out on the street.

I had a real shock moment in greece. Locals were friendly enough but this country has some god tier pr because its an absolute shithole. Stereotypical balkan shithole with a bunch of zeus statues and temples.

France, but to be fair I didn't visit in the best circumstances. It was a school trip with no freedom to some random place in the north.

Korea. Went to Seoul for work a few years ago. Utter dystopian shit society, the people there are walking plastic toys, they only drink iced coffee and listen to K-pop trash, and the food was mediocre at best. Toddlers grow up being told the highest possible achievement is to work for Samsung.

I visited a few historic temples and they were better, but still shit.

Philippines as a country was fine but manila is by far the worst city I have every visited.

It's a built up megacity with babies rolling around naked on the floor covered in dirt while their homeless mother just sleeps beside them in the middle of the day.

barefoot kid with dirt up to his knees was begging, i gave him 6 pesos or whatever i had in change to get him to leave me alone. came back down the same street 10 minutes later and the same kid tried to pickpocket me. I scowled at him, and he turned away, and then literally tried to pickpocket me again immediately after.

group of 3 or 4 women randomly ran after me, grabbing me begging me for money and calling me daddy, was bizarre, literally had to physically shake them off and run away from them.

went to one of the large parks which was fine, but there were loads of horses with carriages outside and all the horses looked like they had severe brain damage for some reason.
