Weeaboo foreigner is the shame of Japan
Recent controversy arose in Japan.
Because foreigners were buying kids McMenus for the Pokemon cards and leaving the food to rot. These cards are then resold overseas for a lot of money.
So Japanese children cannot have their toys. They ran out. And the food rots.
In the end, the problem became so bad thar McDonald's Corporation was forced to end its promo in Japan, much earlier than planned, leaving many children heartbroken.
This is the lastest offense by gaijin (foreigners) against Japan.
So the question is worth asking if the gaijin are ruining Japan.

The Japanese get totally ass pained by anything that deviates from the norm. It's like a country full of people suffering from a serious case of autism.
>Some one bought food with out the intentions of eating it? Time to ban all the gaijin from Japan.

Does McDonald's in Japan not give customers the option to just buy the Happy Meal toy (or in this case, cards) itself? This is something you can actually do at McDonald's in my country.
Also, I didn't realize non-English cards had any value in the US.

US is also the home of diabeetus, you would think they would actually eat the food that accompanies the trading cards. Five Happy Meals are like a light snack to them.

Can somebody explain to me why the Japanese have such an obsession with trinkets? Phone charms, keychains, posters, etc for like every new show and movie that comes out. White women have new consumerist fads every month but I can't think of another culture that has such a fixation on the consumption of little plastic trinkets and shit.

it's a really fucked cycle actually:
>local resellers run up a fuckton of money scalping
>foreigners want a piece of the pie and do it too
>locals go insane and start mass-buying on credit
>blame foreigners, jack up prices because they control market
and in the end, some chinese or american guy with a big resale ecom store wins because he can actually afford to mass-buy all the shit at 10% markup, get it graded, control enough of the supply to dictate pricing, and flip for 200%

McDonalds and Nintendo knew this would happen. They dont care about the wasted food, they dont care about who gets the toy. They got the money. They're happy. If McTendo is disappointed it's only because there were no tramplings or deaths for the rush to get plastic shit. And they're probably brainstorming a way right now to build even greater demand for their next pokemon collaboration.

I don't understand, if you're doing this for profit wouldn't the food increase your margins a fair amount? Do they not have fridges in Japan?
Those nuggets and fries will last weeks in a fridge and reheat in an air fryer just as good as at the store.
