I love this movie, but it took more than one viewing.
The first time, I thought it alternated between hilariously brilliant and just sort of uncomfortable.
The second time, I understood more, got more of the jokes.
The third time through, I was hooked.
Now, it's like each scene is its own gift.

My "chosen edition" DVD of this movie has the "what were they really saying" soundtrack. There's like a whole other movie going on. Definitely worth listening to. I can't believe I bought it in the sale section for $5 at my local grocery store.

Nah. I first saw this movie when I was going to the mall with my dad and we were walking through sears and they had it playing on all of the television screens, and we stopped for a minute to watch it, and then it turned into a few more minutes, then a few other people stopped to see what we were looking at, and eventually there's a small crowd standing there watching kung pow in the middle of a department store. We asked the guy what movie it was, and we went straight to blockbuster and rented it.
My dad is an actual boomer and he laughed his fucking head off.
