First season treats Picard like hes stupid, outdated and useless. A bunch of "Hey, remember this thing from that show you liked?" moments. A bunch of new characters who you're never gonna remember the name of a year after you're done watching it. Also a few old characters show up because they needed a paycheck

Second season was during Covid. They basically go back in time and walk around Los Angeles for the whole season

Third Season feels like finally realized the first two seasons don't feel like TNG at all, so they finally start doing TNG stuff

As others have said you could watch the third season and miss hardly anything

I honestly didn't think it was that bad, but they pretty much retconned the earlier seasons in the 3rd season. Also Patrick Stewart's voice has aged too much and it's offputting trying to understand him without captions.

Don't listen to these fags, they hate everything. S3 is the only thing worth watching even if you abhor all of Nu Trek. All the problems are simply the nu trek style, but ultimately it's a better sendoff for the TNG crew than Nemesis.

Do you like Star Trek? Because if so, none of that.

Even in S3 which is pure nostalgia farming, the well is already horribly poisoned and the TNG cast are all just super flanderized versions of themselves, and none of the actors remember how to play them right. Stewart only does the "Picard voice" once during the entire series and the rest of the cast just acts like they do at conventions.

It's Star Trek without any sort of military discipline on the ship. It's Star Trek without snappy writing or episodes about things that matter. It's a bunch of subversive slop that seems angry about Gene Roddenberry's idea that a utopia could one day exist, so it tries to take down the Federation and apply modern morality policing to it.
Just one of the worst things ever, OP.

It relies on Star Wars plot point retardation -- super weapons, mega disasters. Just an outright crap film by someone who doesn't like Star Trek and you should feel bad for saying it's good.

I don't know why everyone sucks these 10 episodes off. Even going so far as to chant that they want a spinoff at conventions. I don't want to see Seven of Dyke anymore, or her negro lesbian lover. What they did to her was terrible. The guy who plays JAY EL's nepo baby son isn't a very good actor.

I only watched S1 of STPIC. It was a soulless nostalgia trip and although I'm usually glad to see Cthulhu in anything, this time it was really out of place. I shit you not, they worked Cthulhu in as the god of the androids or some shit.
