He got too fat it's that simple, you can see him slowly expanding over the course of the 1990s and then by 2002 he was just too big to be a believable action hero

Literally this movie, it was all downhill from there. Flop after flop from 1995 and onwards while getting fatter and fatter.
Exit Wounds coul've been his comeback but Half-Past Dead bombing so hard sent him to the direct to video hell forever.

It really was this. He was as much of a star as Stallone and you could put him right behind Arnold in action stars after Under Siege. On Deadly Ground was a big downgrade from Under Siege and nothing improved from there on out.

He lied about everything his whole life even before he became famous, then got lucky during the bullshido craze and grossly overestimated both his talent and popularity. Then Executive Decision broke him and he decided he'd rather be a big star in straight-to-dvd bulgarian produced C-movies than fade into obscurity in Hollywood.
He was the ultimate "fake it till you make it" guy, except he 100% believed his own bullshit.

Let me tell you something that might be a bit dangerous. Seagal was raised in Japan. He was schooled in martial arts. He was given the title of master.
Then they take a movie “The Last Samurai.” They have a 5-foot-2-inch little guy, whether he was straight or gay, I don’t know. I don’t care. He had never been to Japan. He doesn’t speak Japanese. He has never held a sword. They make him the Last Samurai. Seagal got 450,000 phone calls [laughs] from everybody in the world saying, “That role was perfect for you. How did that happen?” Most of the people I know didn’t like the film and didn’t go see it. It’s just a classic example of Hollywood and the politics.

I'm not ashamed to say that Under Siege 1 is one of favorite movies of all time. I've watched it beyond counting. It's the perfect mix of action and schlock. TLJ and Busey are having the time of their lives. I think Seagal was a great choice. A more charismatic actor might have stolen the spotlight from them. There's also something strangely comfy about it.

This. This. This.

I went to the theatre to see 'On Deadly Ground', only to get a fourth wall breaking lecture about the 'muh environment' and how Noble Savages are better than Whites or some gay shit.

Envirofaggotry was the on-the-nose Woke shit of the era that every actor and the Left in general was virtue signalling about. If you're a Zoomer you don't know but compare these scenes:
https://youtu.be/G9Kn8TWqGOw?t=31

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8B0np_o1VBg

Same mentality, but the rest of that Star Trek movie was actually good so it that scene was bearable. Steven Segall is so far up his own arse I heard his gay little speech was cut down from much longer by some studiofag with some actual sanity. He virtue-signalled way too close to the sun in an era when Hollywood weren't totally disconnected from audiences and economic reality.

Movies like 'Under Siege' gave him some cred, and he blew all that capital on this and then subsequent faggotry. Obviously this dickhead ACTUALLY BELIEVED he was going to change the world or something with this horseshit. Then people started to go back and look at how much of a self-deluded dipshit this guy always was. He became a fucking joke and good riddance.

Steven Sesgal is what would happen if Neil Breen got some traction in blockbuster films.

Just imagine Breen initially being put in big budget Hollywood movies directed and cut by someone else that SOMEHOW managed to make him actually look cool. Then when he got more money and cred he started making direction and production decisions himself:

My favorite part of that whole scandal was the reporter who broke the story doing an interview in front of an audience. When asked how she was able to fool so many people he said "people were willfully blind because she was a woman and they wanted to see a woman succeed as a business mogul" only to have the audience get tense and the reporter awkwardly change the subject. There was literally a pause right after he said it where you could hear a pin drop, lol.

This one is an Apache fever dream. It was the first movie they let Seagal direct and he went wild with environmentalist and native themes. The movie concludes with a 4-minute lecture by Seagal about fossil fuels and the dangers of global warming.
>Exit Wounds
Seagal's big comeback after a series of theatrical flops. It has a good supporting cast and is enjoyable on its own merits, but has some downright ridiculous action sequences involving Seagal. One such scene has him dodge a bullet at point blank range and scissor kick the shooter in the head while landing on one hand, which he uses to spring himself back onto his feet in one fluid motion.
>Belly of the Beast
This is one of the earlier straight to DVD releases where Seagal has gained a considerable amount of weight, but in tandem gained a bunch of superhuman abilities which allows him to send guys flying through the air with his punches and kicks. I think around this time he starts using stunt doubles for mundane shit like walking down stairs.

No, to figure this bitch out you just have to look at the original premise to know how self-deluded she was, and still is: Using a single drop of blood to do ALL the blood tests. That would be great an' all, but did anyone really ever ask for that? Was getting a syringe of blood drawn so fucking terrible in the first place for medical tests? Was it a problem in any urgent need of solving, or bazillions in investment? Think about it.

Remember that episode of The Simpsons where Danny DeVito's character says he just needs a 'good idea' to start a business? This bitch saw shit like that, took it super seriously without actually doing any actual rational thinking about what that really means, and just came up with some random short-sighted dumb woman idea based on her own feelings and overinflated narrative in-her-own-mind: That normal blood tests are some big terrible thing that EVERYONE hates, while pricking a finger is somehow not. It's totally retarded the more you think about it.

Her real ambition was to get money and fame as a stronk independent 'muh /biz/ness whammen' and 'muh Steve Jerbs' cred. She believed all the reality distorting bullshit about him just telling people to invent shit and get on their case if they didn't. That's how dumb women ACTUALLY BELIEVE /biz/ness works. That their boss doesn't really actually do any work, he just tells other people to do it and acts like a bigshot smoking cigars in his office or whatever.

So in her mind 'muh idea' + 'muh stronk whammen' + 'investment' automatically equals SUCCESS, eventually with a bit of 'fake it 'til you make it'. Totally oblivious to the fact her dumb idea wasn't realistic/feasible to start with no matter the amount of capital she raised.

She still likely believes it because all 'da evil menz' told her she's wrong, so she's even more a belieber in her own retarded shit. She would have gotten away with it too if it wasn't for those meddling menz.

The Specialist was most definitely a disappointment since the only reason to see the film was for Sharon Stone's nudity, which it turns out was not worth the ticket price. Conversely, Cliffhanger was a disappointment because Janine Turner is/was a Christian who refused to do nudity. >McCarthy says she was alone in the room with Seagal when he asked her to sit next to him on a couch. After she declined, McCarthy says he began talking about his mission trips to Asia in an attempt to get her to sit with him.

>"He keeps bragging and bragging about himself, and watching out of one eye to see if I take the bait," she says. "So he says to me then, 'You know, this part has nudity in it, and I can't really tell what your body looks like in that dress you're wearing'"

>McCarthy continued, saying she told the actor that her agent said there was no nudity in the project, to which she says Seagal responded that "there is off-camera nudity," and asked her to lower her dress so he could see her breasts.

She made the retarded decision to apply VC capital fundraising tactics to the like one single profitable industry in the USA that has incredibly strict governmental regulatory guidelines.
If her company made software or smart toasters she either would've gotten away with it or dropped off and been forgotten about. Elon Musk and Steve Jobs did the exact same shit of hyping fake prototypes with unrealistic specs and then building less impressive mass produced models later when the hype dies down, but the industries they work in aren't very strictly regulated by government agencies. The automotive industry regulations are basically a cartel run by auto manufacturers who buy EV credits from Tesla which is why Musk got away with bullshitting so much.

Seagal was one of those actors who was super famous and considered a top talent, but only for about one year. like Frankie Muniz or Zooey Deschanel. They're everywhere and in everything one month, and totally forgotten the next. Jim Carrey also nearly ended up like that, but he managed to reboot his career later on.
